Hehe, I think "vendetta" is quite a strong word. If I was "doggedly" after you last game, which I think is another exaggeration, you did turn out to be scum after all. The main reason for my interest in you is that when you're here and staying on-task, you make good and logical points. You're simply the type of player I would have liked to have heard from after I28's reveal yesterday, but you only appeared right after his lynch to crack a couple jokes. I'm not at all claiming there's a brilliant case on you because that's far from the truth; I'm trying to get more information on the quieter ones I don't have a great feel for.

That's because I wasn't here DURING his reveal. I just didn't see the case against him as that much merit. I felt his initial post asking for setup talk as just trying to prod people to talk so he could gage them. I felt that the smartass reply rephrasing the OP was just the same.. again... it struck me as odder how Runin and CTM reacted to the whole thing. Especially with CTM suddenly disappearing after but then he explained the concert so I'm putting that on a backburner. Runin is acting different this game but I'm unsure if it's because he's trying to actually survive past the first few days or not.

I would have thought.. maybe he IS scum.. maybe it was a last ditch effort to stay alive.. but I sure the hell wouldn't have tested it by hammering him myself. The only thing that gave me pause was him saying he was trying to play scummy to get the actual scum to vote for him. Since I didn't see enough suspicion on him in my eyes to vote for him then I dunno. I do know from last game he plays scum well so maybe I figured the all over the place out there stuff was him being innocent.

As far as the snap back earlier.. I feel like absolute ****. The entire right side of my face feels like it's been run over by a steamroller. Even my teeth hurt. I'm lucky I made the retort as nice as I did. Just didn't like that you claimed I disappeared on purpose. It is what I did to CTM too but dropped it once he reminded us he was at a concert.

I was going to give Hess a little more time because I think he has some personal stuff going on. If he can't play i'm sure he'll ask to be replaced.

I think someone mentioned Verbal was having internet issues. He's been around a few times and been a no-show.

AVM stood out to me a little bit, because I think he's usually in the middle of the count, too. Smash needs to play now that we're in D2 as well, but it's tough to get on anyone for low activity on the weekends. I'm stuck at work, that's why I'm here.

And perhaps you misread, but I never claimed you disappeared on purpose. I pointed out that the timing of your disappearance/reappearance might be something to note. I'm really just trying to gather information here.

It's typically not until the middle of the game that I get up here in the post count. I'm normally playing catch up the first several days, and I use Slats as my goal line, hehe. He's generally at the cut-off point where people don't rag on you for being inactive. I may be overreacting, though. It just seemed odd to me that I'd be way up here after missing the first joke day, too. It's probably more useful to see who's being more tentative about placing votes.

I want to look at integrity train some more, when I thought he was scum I felt really bad about pac and vic with their lily votes, but now I have a enw reason to look at them, or atleast pac, he's never shy to vote and I can't believe he didn't pull the plug on i20 ape's life support. Maybe he knew he was innocent, or atleast had reason to by his bomb claim knowing he wasn't scum.. same goes for DPR..

For now, I'm going to vote Jif just so we have more choices, + the third voter thing + the post above which is awfully conveniant if lily and dpr are innocent..

It seems JiF and I are thinking alike today. I don't know if that's good or not.

Also, I feel verbally handicapped, so screw the "no flirting" policy. I don't know how else to soften some things and I'm not saying things because of that. I need to say what I'm thinking. I28 and Nae were the only ones who strongly objected to it, and he's not in the game anymore, and she said the light flirting was okay with her. So, I'm back, if less enthusiastic.....lol

Just got caught up, sorry fellas should have told you but I was out all day yesterday at a Golf Charity Tournament for my niece in Orlando. It went well, we raised 7,000 dollars for her program (some of you may remember my niece was paralyzed in a car accident about 3 years ago) and it was all around fun day.

Anywho, interesting turn of events. Wont lie, when I was reading through and I saw the bomb claim, I thought we had scum. Didnt see a bomb in this game, but clearly monkey brains wasnt lying. Still dont get his play and dont understand why Wombat would take the chance and hammer him (I know he didnt, but I figured SMC would just take the vote before I28's self hammer). No NK is interesting. Dont know what to make of it. But as others have pointed it out, its essentially the same thing losing Wombat.

Now it looks like Lily vs. DRP. Though I see the case against DPR, I'm not sure I'm buying it completely. Lily is tough for me because I hear those saying its not about her personality, but I cant get my mind off thats exactly what it is. IDK. DPR strikes me as someone who was just ready to lynch after a slow day 1. Cant blame him, because I'm the same way, but also dont want to discount some of the cases laid out.

I'm going to look back at the posts around when I28 started to play really bad and see if there were any reactions that should be looked into further. Because I'm not liking the 2 trains quite honestly, neither of them are really striking me as scummy.

Okay, I'll bite. Logic says that there were at least four separate role PMs sent out. Town, scum, WW, and neutrals. And that's minimum. As a mod, I vary my role PMs for the town, as well. (I generally list the win conditions three separate ways - just different wording of the same thing.) You and Runin probably had different ones. Even if you are both town, that could be the case. If one of you is neutral, it is more likely. I guess to nutshell my thoughts, there are several other possibilities besides, "OMG, he's scum!" You, however, are reading town to me, atm.

Looking back, the thing I find interesting is those who are laying suspiciously low. At least for those who that is out of character. I was definitely feeling that way about Pac, but he seems to be more himself the past day or so, and had reasons for change in activity. Vic is another one who seems to be uncharacteristically quiet to me. I was surprised to see his post count was as high as it was, because I just had a sense like he was around a lot less than usual. Looking back, I just don't think he's really stood out and been as bold as he typically is. While it could very well be the humbling experience of being labeled a superstar and then subsequently falling (been there), he just doesn't seem to have his normal edge or confidence or... something.

Dan also worries me a bit, because I feel like she's doing a lot of her justifying when she's not around. While she does it most every game to an extent, it feels like its a bit more often this time around. Not that I'm one to judge activity level, but I feel like she seems more likely to deflect that kind of attention early before it comes up as scum. Not a whole lot there, but something about it makes me feel more like the Star Wars game when she was scum, although I may have somewhat of a skewed perspective having modded that as opposed to playing.

This is 100% it. I like jif a lot, bit the vicgod thing really made me uneasy. I'm a humble person and to have all this praise thrown on was weird for me. I am the type to talk myself down. Stay humble, stay hungry that's me. And with Dan taking me out night one last game it burned cause I was trying hard to stay alive. Anyways, I'm teeing to contribute.

The dpr case presented by runin I find the most solid, more than jifs case on PAC. PAC was way more amicable as scum last game and he lured memin with that last time. This time he still seems friendly but he isn't showing any fear in sinking his teeth into someone and not let go, and THAT is PAC to me.

I haven't played with JiF, really, so if this is something he always does then I have no prior knowledge to draw on.

Right now DPR, JiF, and Dan are my top suspects in that order.

My guess is that Dorothy and her gang are scum. And that Dorothy has disrupted the land of OZ by stealing the Wicked Witch of the East shoes. They will be known as Outcasts.

Then there will be the town, known as Ozites. They will be working with the Wicked Witch of the West to find Dorothy and her gang. I got a feeling the town knows who the Wicked Witch of the West is and they are going to need to protect her from Dorothy.

SMC strikes me as the type that would incorporate the Good Witch of the North and the Wizard as neutral players that can help either the town or the scum get closer to victory, so both Dorothy and TWWoW will be desperately searching for them.

And just to make it interesting, the Ozites will win when all the Outcasts are vanquished, unless Dorothy get assistance from a Magical power.

But again, thats just off the top of my head, pure speculation.

When I do role pm's I have to remember to put in "you are town". So it's pretty well standard for each and every one of my role pm's to people to be different. First game I did that unintentionally.. now I do it purposefully so it's fair for everyone and you can't trip someone up for what a pm says or doesn't say.

And when you look at my posts, do you really see anything other than a deadline lynch? You say you are uncomfrotable with people who did not see the flaw in I28 not voting for himself (which orchestrated, would have been great, btw...) but you don't see the point in waiting for everyone else to comment o it?

As much as I'm fighting against meta-gaming DPR, I definitely find it interesting that a good portion of the DM crew finds him scummy, too.

No. Only when he acts it, hehe. Some games he tries to lead the town, and it's obvious that everything he's saying is pro-town. In other games, he tries to lead and everything sounds weird. Like now.

Nah, we've all just zinged each other over the years, and it's too easy to metagame when you know what a player is capable of.

I could go on and on about the games I've seen Barm, Verbal, and Runin

pull really great mafia plays, but sooner or later, everyone has a great game, and dragging a rep around is more of a curse than anything.

On DM, we call it Big Game Hunting when a player goes after another well known player, just to take them down.

Runin has had me on his list for a while, so I kinda blew hiscase against me off as him just coming after me. Though, if anyone sees merit in it, I'm happy to discuss it.

Anyway, since DM is always crashed now, I imagine they'll all come over to JN for teh mafia goodness. Then this place will be a real freakshow. heh

I'll give you this point, DPR. Runin has had a soft spot for you since he starting playing on DM. You are one of the vets, and sometimes it does appear that he just wants to take you down for the sport of being able to. I can relate - I wanted to do that with Doggin my first few months of mafia on DM. I got over it, and so will Runin.

Buuuut....in this case, I do think that Runin is right.

A note on the post count thing: the internet thing is fixed at my house. I'm flying to Phoenix on Monday morning, but I should have no problem with internet access in the hotel, and plenty of spare time.

My post count usually starts slow, and ramps up as the game goes along, unless something ocurs in-game that makes me latch onto something. Aka, I like to lurk a little in the first day or two, but I won't post fluff. I'll contribute.

I'll give you this point, DPR. Runin has had a soft spot for you since he starting playing on DM. You are one of the vets, and sometimes it does appear that he just wants to take you down for the sport of being able to.
