There's nothing wrong with having a backup QB at the league minimum, who actually has upside. He has a lot of physical tools, which if harnessed possibly could be a good QB...true, the chance for that happening is little to none, but at least there is a chance compared to that of Clemens and Ainge, who have zero chance of being a NFL caliber starting QB. I'm not saying Russell will become a solid QB, as I think he has absolutely no work ethic. But, if he did, it'd be a nice trade piece.
