'Solitary Man ' is a great flick that may get Michael Douglas a few Best Actor nominations. Its the story of a once powerful Car salesman who had it all. Biggest car dealer on East Coast, great family etc etc.

He gets a possible bad heath result and his world changes.

The film starts with his Dr. visit 6 1/2 years ago, and fast forwards to present day when he has lost it all. This is where film starts basically and we learn the specifics along the way. He is a womanizer, especially relishing the 30 and under catches. He has lost family and home. He is in 60s schmoozing past bankers for another shot at his dealership. We learn he now has a verbotten reputation in the car field. But he slugs along trying for past glory while trying to regain some semblance of life with children/grandchildren. Its a story where we see his good humanity at times, then are shocked into reality of what kind of man he might really be , by some despicable behavior.

The cast is brilliant; Michael Douglas, Susan Sarandon, Danny Devito, Mary-Louis Parker, Jenna Fischer, Jesse Eisenberg. This is really a nice film that will have you rooting for him at times, and then rooting against him at times.
