NIGHT STALKER
08:21 AM ET 07.05 | The Yankees, Dodgers and Cardinals were among the clubs with a scout in attendance at Cliff Lee's start in Detroit on Sunday afternoon. It marked the second straight start by Lee that the Yankees scouted. Rival clubs believe the Yankees are pursuing Lee ahead of the July 31 non-waiver trade deadline, although it's possible the Yankees are scouting Lee in preparation for his upcoming free agency. SenorGato
I think he ends up playing for the Dodgers.
Maxman
I would have to say there is NO WAY the Yankees pull the trigger on Lee. That would be insane (as in an insanely talented rotation). The 5th starter is .500 right now and they have 3 veteran starters with records of either 10 and 2 or 10 and 3.
shawn306
The Yanks need to worry more about getting Joba and the bullpen back on track.
Sharrow
this guy is going to make some serious cash. Sucks, the Pirates could have traded Jason Bay for him back when he was with Cleveland instead of getting a bunch of losers from LA and Boston. mbn007
Yankees are only scouting Lee for the FA period. Same as they did in 2008 with CC. Can't believe they would trade for Lee when he is going to test the market anyway. Why pay twice?
