I got the power!

Our power went out for four hours today. I now realized what a power spoiled baby I am. I need my power. I cannot live without it. Thank goodness it is back. Long live the power. :)

Makes people wonder if investing in a generator is a wise decision. I own one.

Glad to hear you're restored to civilization, LJ.

So what did you miss the most when the power was off? For me its the computer and worrying about the food going bad.

Definitely the refrigerator. It's very hot and humid today, and I just went shopping yesterday, so it's full of food. It's kinda nice to have the central air back too! :)

Downside, I now have no excuse to ignore the laundry. ;)

That just made my night. Hip Hop when it was fun, danceable and cool. That era was hip-hops finest, right there with Rob Base and DJ EZ Rock. SNAP even made a striped afro-mullet work. Good times. Good times.

+1

Hip hop then was very edgy, cool, fun, controversial, informative and most importantly original. Today its ran by the machine. Boy did hip hop have its moment though. The early to late 90's were the best.

Damn I miss Pac.

'85-'93 was my favorite time for hip hop.

I was too young unfortunately. I was born in 80. The "Lords of the Underground" in the summer of 93 made me a fan of hip hop with this song.

But when I came across 2pac I almost lost it. Straight lyrics, no bullshyte....beautiful storyteller.

2Pac could tell a story. My favorite storyteller has always been Slick Rick.
