Otter
Am I the only one that sees it? Oh and we're keeping him for another 4 years.. http://soccernet.espn.go.com/news/story?id=808963&sec=england&cc=5901 As US Soccer Fans/Jets fans lets commiserate on this decision. We all know losers of his ilk way too well. It's time to move on from Bradley. Yes, he coached the US out of the group stage, but this team never really seemed prepared to play. This is evident in the horrible way they started each game they played in the World Cup. Besides, his lineup choices for the Ghana game is unforgivable. Remember what happened when the US kept Bruce Arena on after the 2002 quarterfinal run. National teams rarely keep coaches on thru two World Cup cycles. I would love for the US to go out and get Jurgen Klinsmann. I realize that we don't have anywhere near the soccer talent as Germany, but perhaps he can help transform the entire national team structure, from youth soccer all the way up to the senior national team, to make us more competitive and help develop more young talent. Bruce Banner
The US can do better but at least he's not as bad as Steve Sampson. It does scare me a little bit that Arena was worse in his second WC than in his first. I hope Bradley doesn't end up like that.
RutgersJetFan
I'm not a Bradley fan by any means but I actually thought he was fantastic in the Group Stage.
Jetsfan80
Well, at least we'll have a new coach for 2018 when we host.
Bugg
Not to put too fine a point on this, but what leads anyone to beleive the US can win the World Cup anytime soon if they cannot past Ghana?
Matt39
Not to put too fine a point on this, but what leads anyone to beleive the US can win the World Cup anytime soon if they cannot past Ghana? The overall popularity has definitely increased recently...but lets be honest, the team hasnt really improved at all since 94.
Bruce Banner
Not to put too fine a point on this, but what leads anyone to beleive the US can win the World Cup anytime soon if they cannot past Ghana? I think your underrating Ghana. The group they were in was one of the hardest ever and they would have made it to the final four if they didn't choke on a penalty kick. Both Germany and Ghana got underrated because people didn't take into account how hard that group was.
PFSIKH
Not to put too fine a point on this, but what leads anyone to beleive the US can win the World Cup anytime soon if they cannot past Ghana? Why? Half of Ghana's players play in Europe's major leagues. About the same as the USMNT. Their U20 team won the U20 World Cup last year. Our best men's finish ever was finishing second in an obscure tournament in which we choked in the final. They are a pretty good team. The US could win the World Cup. Like this World Cup showed, as long as we have strong goal tending, we can advance. Obviously, we need more scoring from our forwards and hopefully in 4 years a healthy Charlie Davies will provide this. Plus, a healthy Onewyu will be nice as well for the D. Like in hockey, great goaltending can carry average talent. The US could win. Will they in our lifetime? While I do not think Bob Bradley is that bad, I think the team coming out flat repeatedly is his fault. Plus, as some one mentioned his selections for the Ghana game are questionable. The USMNT is usually ranked in the 15-25 range. This means they should advance, but unlikely to go further.. Bradley parred the course.
The Gun Of Bavaria
Bradley sucks and the first half of almost every USMNT's game shows. They are unprepared and their tactics simply do not work.
