SJ Reviews 'Inception'..Unique and off the charts thriller (4)

'Inception' is that RARE breed of flick in mainstream Hollywood. Its a unique story that is out of the box and brings you places where a previous film hasnt.

1st off, the cast is beyond stellar with Leonardo DiCaprio, Ken Watanabe, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Marion Cotillard, Ellen Page, Tom Hardy, Cillian Murphy, Tom Berenger, and Michael Caine.

There isnt a frame in the film where you feel these are actors, the direction is that great.

Lots of spoilers can be derived from delving too deep into the plot.

But this is a thriller, psychological mind bender that takes us into the depths oh human psyche and never quite allows to to feel comfortable as to what is real and what isnt.

Leo is a 'on the run' thief who uses cutting edge mind control dream technology to commit his endeavors in crime and espionage. An offer is on the table for him to erase his criminal past if he can perform one last 'dream' crime that goes so deep into the human mind that it hasnt been done before in a crime.

This is as much as I feel comfortable saying, other than its a fast paced, deep plotted thriller that will need your full attention to keep up. Its not a car chase only thriller. Its full of plot and yes, also some car chases ;)

For those who like to 'guess along' with the story, by all means go.

Enjoy.

i love it.

as u know, I go 2-3 times a week..

i would go by myself ( i actually did last week ), it kind of soothes me and lets me unwind. When I go by myself I make sure its not real crowded so i can get some space and not have some sloth breathing down my neck.

I even take my 90 year old Mom once in awhile. She loves it, but forgets the flick as we are leaving the theater :D

I still have to see this movie....

You very much do. Great great movie. Saw it a week ago and like EY said the more you think about it the better it gets. Best movie I've seen in a long time and its definitely Nolan's best movie (and I do think that says something)

this is a very good flick, very entertaining, and totally thought provoking, and a movie you def need to see twice like the prestige

only a few minor critiques, like there should have been more random weirdness in the dreams, something salvador dali-esque and the dreams seemed bound to too much reality and logic, for example in a chase scene, the characters who knew they were ina dream should have just flown away or whatever

all in all a thumbs up

Remember, they designed the dream. They didnt have to make it unrealistic like a "real dream".

I got the impression they designed the architecture, but the dreamer was still in control, which is why they had to be careful of the projections of the dreamers subconscious

anywho, some random weirdness could have also made for comic relief

that sound track was so driving and pounding is was crazy
