JMJ
MRI confirms torn pectoral muscle. 4-month injury at minimum, so most likely done for the season, AT BEST he could return for playoffs but not guaranteed (or probably even likely). Just will further dirty the Revis situation for both sides...

MadBacker Prime
God does not want Revis playing for the Jets this year, or even play for them at all. The Revis Christ nickname has pissed off the real Jebus apparently and now he is doomed to a life in hell, which in NFL terms is going to play for the Lions. SMC
Sucks for Broncos. But if injury was a real concern (rather than PR nonsense put out there by Revis' camp), then he'd take the injury guarantee. Revis doesn't want that. He wants either a full guarantee (which isn't available) or a huge signing bonus so he can hold out in 2 yrs when that yr's salary is below his desired amount. SoFlaJets
judybattista RT @FO_BBarnwell: Matt O'Dwyer, then-Bucs G, tore pectoral weightlifting around 7/20/04, returned after Thanksgiving. Best-case scenario

Blackout
horrible news for Denver, who already have two banged up running backs before week 1!! I say Oakland finishes 2nd in that division based on this news + Tim Tebow's drafting
faba
Another reason why players try to get the most guaranteed money they can get upfront.

Jackson, Merriman & Marcus McNeill aren't in camp. Just the way it is. Everybody loves 'em, but guys like Harris and Mangold are taking a serious chance this year. Matt39
Not good for us. Revis' case just got a lot stronger.
bitonti
the fan hears about this and says "jeez poor Denver getting ripped off like that." The players hear about this and say "jeez a torn pectoral really hurts. Hope that doesn't happen to me" we look at these players as business commodities... but they are real people. Elvis Dumervil may be rich but right now he's in a world of pain.
JMJ
Not good for us. Revis' case just got a lot stronger. And the Jets stomach's just got a lot more uneasy. Revis: "See, that is exactly why I'm holding out. Elvis got his before getting hurt." Jets: "See, that is exactly why we have to be even more careful with just handing him fully guaranteed money (not to mention that he is holdout happy and will probably holdout again in 3 years and forget we gave him a ton of money upfront.") And he deserves his ... just not what he is asking for. $12-$13M per year and he should be back in camp. Holding out for Asomugha money is ridiculous.
