CrazyCarl40
http://www.baseball-reference.com/players/v/valenda01.shtml my pick atleast. 38 games? Really? Boesch seemed to have it all wrapped up until this recent prolonged slump. Bard should get some consideration too. He's been phenomenal.

He's been phenomenal. Jaime Garcia probably would have gotten some consideration as well, he seems to have hit a wall lately.
SenorGato
I'm going to go ahead and say that Jason Heyward has it locked up in the NL. I still think Justin Upton is more "once in a generation" than he is, but I'm pretty sure that doesn't matter at all. I don't even know in the AL...I wish Santana didn't get hurt or that Matusz was on a half decent team.

CrazyCarl40
Uuuuuuuh... Seriously? No one has even mentioned Buster Posey? Hes a lock. No, he's not. He plays in the NL where Heyward has got that award wrapped up. Posey has been great since he was called up. Heyward has been pretty good all season. After Bard's performance against the Yankees he might have picked up a few votes. He's filthy.

Bard's my favorite young reliever in the league already...The Red Sox did an excellent job on that guy...kinda makes me wish they get their hands on Andrew Miller, the other half of the uber-talented duo from UNC. Heyward had it locked up before he took a first pitch -- judging only on the hype he came in with -- Ike Davis has better numbers right now and if he gets smokin hot the last few weeks he might give Heyward a run for the money -- But I don't see it happening. SenorGato
They just got their hands on him... For garbage too...Good luck to him developing with his teammate...He's still only 26 and a lefty arm with his kind of stuff will always get chances...He's never been injured or anything, so really it just might be the coaching he's received. Red Sox know how to coach pitching, and Curt Young the new pitching coach is one of the best.
