So what's with the uproar over the possible mosque?

I'm not sure I get it. The people who want it up are not terrorists. They did not assist in the events of 9/11. Islam is one of the oldest religions on the planet, and it is a religion of peace (as all religions claim to be). A mosque is a place of peace, prayer, and worship.

I don't get what's wrong here. All I know is that it's another thing people are wasting their time on...using it to build walls between people when there are already plenty...using it to bash a president who said the most f*cking REASONABLE thing one can expect from a man in his position...using it to make headlines that meet some reporter's deadline...there's something deeply wrong with this whole situation...it says a whole lot about where we are as a society, doesn't it? This is a country that was founded on people pursuing their right to worship as they want to, too...that's the kicker. How American are the pricks who think this is some sign that the terrorists are moving in?

It's the 21st f*cking century and we still argue over outdated garbage like religion...The worst part about this is if that mosque were to go up you know who'd be in the most danger? The people who go there to worship.

Seriously? Seriously, is this your first day here? I mean, seriously, 1,500+ posts and you don't once recall hearing anything regarding the avoidance of politics and/or religion.

Wow.
