Jetsfan1015
Just heard on the Boomer and Carlton show on WFAN that the Jets will be releasing 2,000 non-psl seats in the upperdeck, that were previously sold, to the general public. Apparently they are seats that the owners decided to upgrade to a PSL-seat. I can't find a link to a story yet but they said the Jets will annouce it later today but I did confirm it with my ticket rep. Interestly enough I wanted to see if there were any upgrades available for me in the upper deck and he said that there was no way to move me now that my tickets had been printed and they were not going to be moving anyone in the upper deck. I wasn't to happy with that answer.
visajets
I was offered PSL free upper decks as recently as last week. My neighbor is a GIANTS season ticket holder in the upper decks. He says buyer beware the new uppers are alot higher than uppers in the old stadium. Hes not happy. Jetsfan1015
Just received this email from the Jets: Season Ticket News With our Monday Night regular season opener less than two weeks away, we know that you must be excited to get Jets 2010 football underway. And as a current season ticket holder, we have a special opportunity that we are offering to you first. Now, you can take more family, friends and clients to see the new stadium and cheer on the Jets to victory this season. We have a limited number of tickets - less than 2,000 per game - in the upper level that became available as season ticket holders upgraded to mezzanine and lower level PSL seats. These seats are available to you as part of this offer at the season ticket price between $95 and $125 per ticket (plus applicable Ticketmaster fees). This offer is only for upper level tickets without PSLs; seats with PSLs will not be sold on an individual game basis. Tickets will go on sale today, August 31, at 10am. To purchase, simply visit www.ticketmaster.com and use the password GOTIME to access the offer. Please note: tickets can only be purchased on ticketmaster.com. Single game tickets will be made available to the public starting at 4pm this afternoon so if you want additional tickets, we suggest you buy soon. Thanks and Go Jets
slats
Just received this email from the Jets: That's interesting. I wonder if it's just upper deck seating, or if they're offering any unsold PSL seats (which they've previously said would not be sold on an individual basis). In other news, the Jets just cut their assistant waterboy, but hope to bring him back after the first week of the season.

Jbro22
Upperdecks are higher but closer to the field - a la Old Yankee Stadium.
Maxman
Upperdecks are higher but closer to the field - a la Old Yankee Stadium. The upper deck is closer to the field? Seriously? I am not saying you are not right, just saying when I look at them it seems to be the exact opposite. The Mezz is bigger in this stadium which seems to make the uppers further back. Either way they are higher because of all the clubs underneath them.
faba
This is the same thing the Giants did no?

So if the just took the Old Meadowlands uppers and the New uppers and made them the first level of seating, the new ones would be 'closer'. Jetsfan1015
This is the same thing the Giants did no? No, it's not the same. The Jets are only selling their non-psl tickets for individual but still holding back their PSL tickets. They continue to say they will not sell those on individual game basis. The Giants, on the other hand, were selling all their remaining PSL seats to the general public. So someone sitting next to me in the upper deck to a Jets game will be paying the same amount (if not more with ticketmaster fees). While at Giants games there is a very good chance that the season ticket holder paid alot more for their seat because of the PSL, compared to a fan that just bought a ticket to that particular game. GodWearsAGrayHoodie
It is my understanding that it will only be upperdeck. They continue to say they will not sell PSL seats individually. I can not see how/why they can do that unless the number of tickets is real small. WJ needs to write a check to the NFL for a portion of the price or avoid a blackout, while potential revenue goes to waste. At the same time the Jets are not signing a pass rusher until after the second game to avoid a couple hundred thousand dollars in salary.
Jbro22
After 4pm single game tickets WILL be available to the general public. Or so says Mehta.... The Jets will make 2,000 seats in the upper bowl of the New Meadowlands Stadium available for single-game purchase today. The tickets are available online first for season ticket holders from 10am- 4pm through Ticket Master. After 4 pm, the remaining tickets will be made available to the rest of the public. There’s a limit of eight tickets per order. (Upper Bowl seats don't have a PSL). Vice President of Business Operations Matt Higgins remained confident that the Monday Night season opener against the Ravens on Sept. 13 will not be blacked out. The PSL sales throughout the stadium are nearly complete, he said. “We’re about 96 percent sold out,” Higgins told the Daily News. “With certainty, I can say that we’ll be sold out by next week. We’re just about there.” There are still available club seats, but they don’t count towards the NFL blackout rules. Here's the price breakdown for the single-game tickets available: For season ticket holders: $95-$125 plus Ticket Master fees (the season ticket price) For others: $105-$135 plus Ticket Master fees Read more: http://www.nydailynews.com/blogs/jets/2010/08/jets-make-2000-seats-available.html#ixzz0yBx1ZkKZ

Joe Jets fan
I was in the stadium back in July for the Bon Jovi concert and the upper deck looked very steep. They are very high and look like the seats suck. For a couple hundred for tix, and then the parking problem don"t think it is worth it. But for the NE game it just might. I think with the non-PSLs they are selling all 8 games now. I predict with the PSL unsold seats will take a slightly different route -- they will be sold one game at a time about a week or 10 days before the game, without much fan fare thru ticketmaster with the buyer not knowing if he is buying from some one reselling a ticket or directly from the Jets. This will allow the Jets ticket office to continue to sell the PSLs (as a PSL) through the season.

My guess is that the nose bleeds will go below $100. I may be looking for tickets too - but no way in hell am I sitting up there.
