Harbaugh won't rule out Ed Reed for Week One; Cody undergoes surgery

The Ravens have until Saturday to decide whether to place Ed Reed on the reserve/PUP list, knocking him out for the first six weeks of the season.

Signs point towards Reed remaining on the active roster, though. Ravens coach John Harbaugh won't even rule him out of playing in Week One against the Rex Ryan All-Stars.

"The determining factor is going to be what's best for his career long-term and what's best for him to play at the level he's accustomed to playing," Harbaugh said.

It sounds like Reed is pushing to play sooner than later. The safety spoke with Harbaugh, G.M. Ozzie Newsome, and his coaches at length on Monday about returning. We'd think the Ravens won't place Reed on PUP if there's any chance he could play in the first four games, much less Week One.

With one star returning, the Ravens revealed Tuesday that a key rookie reserve will miss some time. Terrence "Mount" Cody had surgery last week to repair the meniscus in his knee. He'll miss two weeks and is questionable for the opener.

"He had a little bit of a tear in his lateral meniscus and had a loose body floating around," Harbaugh said on Tuesday.

Insert Cody eating someone joke here. Or a joke about Cody's loose body. Either one works.

I'll be here probably morning a loss with you, fact is fins are 0-5 in the last 5 trips to Buffalo. We look like sh*t and i wouldn't be shocked if Buffalo beats us.

Bills just might be the worst team in football this year. If you lose to them opening day it will be a long year for the Fins

Living in South Florida I would love to see it, but I don’t think the fins are that bad
