Get your a$ off the outer banks Earl looks like one bad mother

I appreciate the concern, but I'm in Southeastern NC, just north of Myrtle Beach. Looks like we're going to luck out and miss the worst of it.

Just a little wind and rain for us.

Channel 5 said 14-15 feet waves on the Treasure Coast today bro

Meh...its not nearly as big as all the projections up here. Glad I didnt take off work today. Its Big but blown out and sh*tty. Tomorrow is the day! But offshore winds all night might knock down the size considerably. Very bummed on what Earl produced.

My daughter is in Wilmington. Glad it missed.

This morning they added Nags Head, NC to the list to evacuate. Northbound Interstate traffic outta Hampton Roads will be heavy today.

My good buddy Justin Quintal won the long boarding contest at Virgina Beach last week. Kid is one of the best Long Boarders around. Looked pretty fun up there.

I love watching the surfer dude movies whenever they come on Stepping Into Liquid, The Billabong Challenge-I respect the hell out of those cats that can do that

Surfing is so hard, I cant even begin to explain. What pro's do...is unbelievable. Very humbling especially when you are in the line up with one of them.

Step into the Liquid is classic. Love the section on when they cover Jesse the ripper who got into a car accident and now body boards on surf boards just to stay in the water. Awesome!

In fact, he started a foundation with a group called, Life Roles On. Its to support spinal cord injuries and folks in a wheelchair. Well his foundation is called "They will surf again". My niece who is in a wheel chair from a car accident participated and now I volunteer every year to be one of the swimmers that helps get the injured riders back on their boards if they fall. Pretty killer event.

The ZBoys are the sh*t!!! Full on legends that changed the culture forever. Adams, Alva, Peralta...made skating what it is today.

That documentary with Sean Penn narrating is sick.

I skate too...and my style is basically exactly like theres. I ride bowls and pools...all concrete sh*t. Not really a ramp guy. Kona here in Jax was one of the original skate parks in the country, made back in the 70's. Its pretty much all concrete, role in bowls, snake runs...all sorts of goodness. Like them, skating emulates my surfing. So I ride the longboard skateboards and carve. My forte is the "Bert turns".

If you've ever seen the documentary, you know what I mean...in short, Larry Bertlemann was a progressive surfer in the 70's and he was known for putting his hands in the water while turning his board. Those guys couldnt do it like he did on a surf board, but its was easy to do on a skateboard, so they named the power slide when you put your hands on the ground a "bert turn".
