Thor99
I have read in several articles that Cromartie will be returning to Right CB, his natural position. Are they saying that Revis will no longer be matched up against the No. 1 receiver at all times? What do we think about this?
Ghost
I don't exactly think that's what they meant. I'm pretty sure all they meant by that is everyone takes a step back in terms of the depth chart.
Maxman
I find it hard to believe that once Revis is in game shape that he would be used any differently than he was last year.

Maybe just for the start of the season to see how thing go and if Revis is not yet in football shape.

That's not the type of wideout he is. You may be right, though. But come week 2, Revis and Revis only should be on Moss.
villain_the_foe
Once Revis is back to form he'll be on the best WR on the field for the entire game.

I think Housh will probably be in the slot, so hopefully it won't matter as much if Revis is not all there yet and stays to 1 side.

People tried to delude themselves for a while there, but there's a big drop off from Revis to Cromartie. Darrelle is back to do what he was doing last year. Housh, Mason, and Boldin are all pretty much the same wideouts. I'm worried about Ray Rice.

There is definitely a big drop off, not a $5 million dollar a year one though. Revis said he'll be taking it slow to get back in football shape. When can we start believing what he says again? I think he's amongst the one year rentals most likely to be let go. A $5M/year difference might be an understatement. Covering Anquan Boldin is taking it easy for Revis. His real work starts the following week against Moss. Once again, his actions will speak louder than his words.

I hope so on the rest slats, I'm all for that.

Keep in mind we hadn't drafted Wilson or agreed on new contract terms with Revis when we signed Cromartie.
Bruce Banner
Teams usually run to the QB's right side because the TE is there and most RBs are right handed and people usually run better with the ball in their dominant hand. And the RT is usually a better run blocker than the LT. Since Revis is a vastly better run defender having him play on that side makes sense. I was actually getting nervous thinking of Cromartie in run support. Not that he won't be there, but having Revis out there is a plus in more than pass defense. That's for sure. I think Revis plays left corner because the best WR USUALLY lines up on the right side of the offense, right? Because that way they are pretty much the easiest thing for a right-handed QB to see when they drop back. Could be crazy.
T0mShane
I'm predicting that Cromartie will have 8-9 interceptions but will give up so many weak first downs/TD's that he'll rank among the least popular Jets ever. Kinda like Ty Law in his 2005 season here.
