What are you most concerned about going into tonight's game?

I did not feel this way until I woke up this morning, but after seeing the games yesterday, I am concerned about our conditioning for this game. It seemed like a trend in the games yesterday of players across the league having very tired legs in the 4th Quarter. It did not appear that we had an overly strenuous training camp. So I am afraid of Ray Rice in the 4th Quarter smashing the ball down the throats of our tired defense. Probably just morning of Week 1 jitters though...

Jet actually had one of the most physical camps. Conditioning shouldn't be an issue.

I am also afraid of giving the Ravens too many short fields. I am going into tonight thinking that it is unrealistic to expect the Ravens to start less than 2 drives past their 40 yard line (between potential Sanchez picks/lousy Special Teams coverage). I think Weatherford has to have a good night tonight. Damn I think we need a lot of stuff to go well. We are definitely at least as good as they are, but I do think that there will be certain breaks that we will need to get tonight.

Nah, Sanchez will play with the red card the entire game.

26/29, 83 yards, 0 TD's 3 INT's.

If you were going to come in here posting negative potential Sanchez stats, you could have at least made them realistic. There is no chance Sanchez throws almost 30 passes tonight, nor is there a chance of him completing 26 passes and throwing for only 83 yards that is like 3.2 yards per completion lol.

I don't think there's any way we let Sanchez throw three interceptions. Given his play to date and how our receivers match up with their secondary, we really shouldn't be throwing outside the numbers at all excepting the odd play-action bomb to Edwards or something.

What I am most worried about is if the people who paid big bucks to sit in the Coaches Club are having a good time and feel the money they spent was worth it. I hope the tv crew sends a reporter to the Coaches Club to check if they are having a great time and feel the money they spent was worth it. This is important to me, I hope they take time off from covering the game to deal with the Coaches Club issue.

....pass protection, QB play. If the Jets can successfully "ground and pound" and throw in a little play action, they win. If the Ravens stop the run, Jets lose. Flacco is better than Sanchez...right now anyway. They may actually have better recievers - until Holmes comes back.

I think something went flying over your head.

Dude, are you recycling your noodle arm jokes? That's not a Sanchez stat line at all. Well, maybe the last one, but not the rest. The kid averaged 12.5 per completion last year - 26 would be 325. He only had one game over 64% completions all last year. Even if you figure it based on his average per attempt he'd be around 175. This was a timely post, but the time was 2006.

For those who missed my point.

Sanchez will play a very conservative game tonight not taking many downfield chances.

If the Jets do not fall behind early and keep Sanchez out of 3rd and long situations, they should win the football game.

Quarterback sucking.

Exactly! If Sanchez can't get the ball downfield to WRs (or even medium or deep down the middle to Keller) it is going to be hard to beat the Ravens. The Jets have to use the pass to set up runs by Shonn Greene and LT.

If Sanchez fails to do that, the game is lost. If he does do it, there is no rerason why the Jets shouldn't start the season 1-0 (the Giants did!)

Obviously Sanchez is my #1 concern. Secondly is how the Offensive line performs protecting him. Third may sound off to some but it's the secondary. They have now been built up as one of the best in the NFL. It will make me uneasy unitl I see it first-hand.

Sanchez is a concern but I am not expecting a great game out of him tonight anyway.

Neither QB is going to look very good tonight IMO.

This ones got 9-6 written all over it.

Flacco is the best of all the young qb's in the league. Better than Ryan, Henne, Sanchez, Stafford etc.

PS

Dont be surprised if he lights us up tonight.

i think it's simple.......it's mark sanchez. barring injury we are goign to have a stellar defense and running game. we have 4 really god receiving targets in holmes, edwards, cotchery, keller. we have a rb who is great catching passes out of the backfield in tomlinson. we have very good fb's. we have everyhting you need to make a run to the superbwl save for one thing. we have no idea if sanchez can lead us there. if sanchez plays like he did last year we will not make it. if sanchez manages the game well, mostly makes plays when he needs t, and doesn't single-handedly lose games with a bunch of turnovers we will be going very far this year.

If Flacco was that good they would have let him throw more than 10 times against the Pats in the playoffs last year.

Flacco is more experienced than Sanchez. He ain't necessarily better.
