Midget Love 20
I know this board is anti-Francesa talk radio but he's fielded phone calls from Giant fans and their reactions from the New Meadowlands. These were some of the positives and negatives in a nutshell: Positives: 1. Parking and traffic were alot easier, because there wasn't the second stadium taking parking spots away. 2. Friendly staff (although there wasn't any guidance or staff past the first tier) Negatives 1. An overall cold vibe given -- the entire stadium had a gray and empty feel for it. Mostly callers were saying how there were not any identifying things to show you were at a Giant or Jet game, and that for the price the teams paid for the new stadium it was a total rip off. Along with that, the 2nd section and club boxes were barely filled. Conclusion: There really wasn't a home field advantage because the stadium was much quieter and less butts in chairs (although we know Giants fans are old geezers who don't make noise anyway) *Francesa made the point, the Giants and Jets have totally divided their fan base because the most loyal fans cannot afford/did not want to pay for the tickets 2. Bathrooms and concession stands. Like the old stadium there were lines, lines and more lines to the bathrooms and concessions despite them adding more bathrooms. One caller complained about waiting on line, and how on the TVs behind the stands displayed their menus and not the game playing. 3. Seats. Mixed reactions, some complained that the seats were lousy and cheap plastic. People in the lower section said that the 2-inched padded seats in the lower sections could cause problems for tall people when it came to leg room. 4. Fan traffic before and after the game in the stadium. Apparently the escalators were very congested and getting to seats was difficult in the higher sections. My apologies for the length, but I was hoping fans could add positives and negatives to their experiences after tonight's game. Thanks!
Maxman
I think the Jets fans will say this stadium is a lot more cozy. Much more Jets stuff as you walk around. In the old stadium there was nothing Jets related.
Green DNA
I heard a multitude of complaints on the Fatcessa show, but I'm too lazy to list them . That fat douchebag still insists on calling it Giants Stadium, however.
Mistalava
A friend, who is a Giants season ticket holder, described it as "drab, but efficient". Nothing exciting, but nothing terribly wrong. The "ambiance" is befitting of the Hackensack Swamp.
Morrissey
Sterile. Boring. Bland. Big waste of money. Yankee Stadium and Citi Field blow it out of the water.
Boozer76
The aluminum siding looks like it's gonna rust in 5 years. From the outside it has to be the ugliest stadium in the league. Just atrocious. I don't care about how great it looks at night with the lights blah blah blah....Most of the games are played during the day, and that thing looks hideous. A 1.8 billion dollar stadium in the NY market should look like it was built by God himself!

I don't think that's the case with the football teams. Oh well, I prefer watching football at home and in the bars. Especially in the cold months. T0mShane
Sterile. Boring. Bland. Big waste of money. Yankee Stadium and Citi Field blow it out of the water. It is pretty terrible. Non-descript, like you're sitting in a refrigerator. A lot of concrete and steel is all you see on the concourses, and the food is perhaps the worst shlt I've ever put in my mouth that didn't go by the screen name "Thor99." Most appalling thing I saw, however, was a working fireplace in one of the suites. Mara and Woody can talk all they want about how they "needed" PSL's to pay for this "great" stadium, but they're full of shlt. They used all that PSL money to pay for shlt 90% of the fanbase will never, ever, ever have access to. If I put money down on a PSL, I'd feel like I was robbed.
