The Jets are a great team (Rex said so, so it must be true)

People need to calm the freak down... we lost to a good team by 1 point. ONE POINT. Relax.

It's not the point differential. It's the penalties, turnovers, defense giving up 3rd and longs, play calling, offensive execution and on and on. Nothing to do with who we played or the final score.

They have a lot of work to do before playing NE.

Lets face it when you start replacing people of character(Faneca,Jones with characters(Chesseburger Cromartie, Hollywood Edwards)this is what you get sometimes..If it festers too long the character guys will turn on the characters and the coach who allows these things. I've seen it too many times..You cannot win in the NFL and be that undiscipline..you can't..Question is can Ryan crack the whip after so long of being Coach let the boys be boys..WILL SEE

STFU...its all talk right now. This team is undisciplined and not ready to win the division much less go to somebodies super bowl.

You are 100% right. Rex has talked so much crap that he actually believes his own S@#$. Stop the talking, fix what needs to be fixed during PRACTICE this week and win the F-en game sunday against New England...PERIOD!

They looked like a great team today! Great!

Question is. what is fatso gonna do when he has to crack the whip? gonna be interesting when hes not everybody's best friend anymore.

Ryan is a jackass. I knew all the pre-season hype generated primarily by his fat mouth was going to blow up in the Jets face. He thinks he's some kind of defensive genius, yeah right. Blitzing on every down and leaving his CB's in man to man coverage, one of which is a rookie. Just a horrible, brainless game plan. Against any other QB (Flacco holds onto the ball way too long) the score would have been alot worse. Pathetic.

Anyone who watches the NFL regularly knows the teams with the most hype and talk the most never really meet expectations. It happens every year, I guess some people were really drinking the Kool-aid, it's still early but I'm still not falling for it, call me 'negative' or whatever, but I saw this coming. Hopefully they can beat the Pats but I'm not holding my breath.

2002 Buccs were HUGE trash talkers

same with those old Cowboys teams in the early 90's

The 2002 Bucs won the SB after bringing in a loudmouth coach. The quiet, unassuming guy got fired left the previous year. And Jimmy Johnson wasn't exactly shy about how good he thought his Cowboys were. Just sayin'.

they both had more discipline than these Jets ;) Gruden was always yelling at somebody. he wasnt joking around all the time gobblin down peanut m&m's either ;)

Oh lord.

Listen, Parcells yelled at people and had discipline. but he was a hard a$$ first, and was nice second. I dont know what you do for a living. but if youre a supervisor and are buddy buddy with all of your subordinates. 9 times out of 10 they will take advantage of you. I dont see Rex coming down hard on any of the players. and it shows. ;)

I'm glad you are religous ;) happy new year ;) la chaim

This is so true Jim. I can relate to that from my military experience. As a former sergeant in charge of my squad of men, you can't fraternize (being buddy buddy in this case) with your subordinates. Once you do that, you can't ever gain their respect when you need to crack the whip...I cringe every time I hear one of these players say Rex is more of an assistant coach than a HC.

Exactly! there's a way to do it without being a drill sergeant. but my feeling is that Rex will try and be a hard a$$ NOW.lol..and it will fail miserably. the foundation has already been set by him that everything is a joke and is funny. now if he has to get serious there will be no repercussions. because he doesnt want to hurt any of the players feelings.

This offensive performance by the Jets had the lowest amount of 1st downs in their history! bwahahaha! as Parcells would say (after the Jets lost to the Colts in 97 talking about the Jets offense) ''give me a break, this is the NFL'' :rl:

People buy into this whole players coach/disciplinarian way too much.

No one wants to play for a guy like Mangini- teams don't respond to that at all. Id rather us play aggressive than like drones. A ton of the calls on Monday weren't a result of lack of discipline- they were ticky tack.

Mangini isnt who I was talking about..lol..hes just incompetent. but, I know the Dolphins are more disciplined than the Jets. it showed last year (Rexy was out coached in both games). and Sporano isnt a big talker. he just gets results..I want results..enough with the talking.

Nothing ;) but he also said he would be in ''tip top condition for training camp'' did you see him in the hot tub? :rl: he cant even make a commitment to his own lard a$$.

No, and I dont want to either.

Youre right about Rex trying to change from being one of the guys talking crap into the Warden. It wont work.

Rex is never going to stop talking.

That official crew had a history of calling everything...if the dumb penalties continue I'll be annoyed. But I dont think the Jets were an undisciplined team last season.

Rex has more playoff wins than Sporano too.
