T0mShane
During his tenure as not only head coach but also offensive coordinator for the Xxxxxxx, COACH X earned a reputation as one of the finest offensive minds in the NFL. The Xxxxxxx offense led the league in rushing in 2000 and led the league in passing in 2002. In 2002, the Xxxxxxx became the first team to win games in the same season while rushing at least 60 times (against Kansas City in a 24-0 win) and passing at least 60 times (against Pittsburgh in a 30-17 win). The Xxxxxx offense also set many franchise records during this period, including fewest sacks allowed (28) in 2000, a mark that was broken the following year (27). T0mShane
You guys are RIGHT!!!!! Everywhere Bill Callahan has gone, he has produced a big-time, versatile offense (even Nebraska). And did he do it with elite QB's with rocket arms? No! He did it with mobile QB's with average arm strength, throwing it to WR's and TE's off of play action. Kinda like the offense the Jets used last year in their playoff push after Schottenheimer was emasculated post-Buffalo disaster. If Rex wants to save the season, it may be time to move Callahan up a seat and tell Schotty to go coach up the Jugs gun. The guy is already on the staff and, judging by last season, the players are already familiar with some West Coast concepts, so it's not like you'd be tearing up the entire playbook and starting over. Why wait?
BroadwayJoe12
After they gave him the promotion to assistant head coach, I was for sure they were trying to hold onto him as he was the next in line for the OC position. I am beginning to think that was just wishful thinking, but it's not rocket science to see we do more before the snap than after. I understand he wants to help sanchize figure out whether they are in zone or man, but what happened to our guys are better than yours, we'll come right at you?? We have a great oline and a power RB, let's run a few more isos or some off tackles with LT. I'm tired of all this pre-snap trickery.
