Maxman
http://www.jetnation.com/2010/09/16/shonn-greene-press-conference-9152010-2/ by Tyson Rauch on September 16, 2010 in Jet News On Wednesday New York Jets running back Shonn Greene addressed the media. Here are his comments courtesy of the Jets. On if he expected to be taken out of the game after he fumbled… “I pretty much expected it. During the preseason, we had problems with turnovers and fumbles. They pretty much said if you fumble, you’ll be out of the game.” On where his confidence is now after Monday’s game… “I’m good now. I just can’t wait to play Sunday to try and have some positive (things). I’m good. My teammates are behind me (and so is) the coaching staff.” On if he felt he was to blame for the loss on Monday at all… “Yeah, I took that loss on my shoulders. That was a key moment in the game, that fumble, and then it turned into a touchdown for Baltimore. I put that pretty much on my shoulders.” On if the team gave him words of encouragement… “Yeah, of course. This team is a family, so I got that from all directions, coaches, the players, so I’m good.” On if he thinks New England will be looking to force fumbles from him on Sunday… “I think every NFL team is going to do that. They’ll be prepared for it and I’ll be prepared, as well.” Tagged as: Jets, New York Jets, NY Jets, Shonn Greene
SMC
Thanks, Tyson and Max. Greene could be ready for teams attacking him, but his 2 fumbles were is own freaking doing. The ball just slipped out of his arms on the sideline and he bumped into his own man when he fumbled the second time. How is he going to prevent those? He was holding the ball wrong both times. Is the coaching staff going to correct that anytime soon???
Integrity28
Shonn Greene was on the sideline for 25 of the Jets' final 26 offensive plays on Monday night. On the one play Greene was in for, he dropped an easy swing pass. Coach Rex Ryan said he hasn't talked specifically to offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer about why Greene didn't get back in after his fumble, but expects an even rotation. We suspect LaDainian Tomlinson will lead the Jets in touches against the Patriots this week while Greene attempts to earn back the trust of his teammates and coaches. Were the fumbles Greene's fault? Yes. Without question. Were the dropped passes? Well, yes they were too. However, I have to ask... didn't we purposefully get rid of Thomas Jones, and bring in LT, because LT can catch passes out of the backfield? Was the thinking that we could "trick" opposing defenses by instead throwing designed passes to Greene, a guy we all know can't catch the ball, out of the backfield - and running the 31 year old Tomlinson up the gut? I'm thinking the play call for that 3rd-5 or whatever it was, was already in prior to LT tapping himself out for Greene. If that's the case, than they probably should have checked out of it, seeing as how he has terrible hands.

Haha why yes, that is indeed typical BSchotty thinking. They'll never see it coming!
