dolphann4life
Why should I feel like sh*t again? 1-0 in the division, were 1-0 in the conference, were 1-0 period. You Don't get credit for moral victories. 1-0 is 1-0 and 0-1 is 0-1....it's only the first week though, so you shouldn't feel like sh*t.
THE ILK
Silly Gato, didn't you know it was a 1 game season. You know like how it was the last times the phags and patsies made the playoffs.

SenorGato
The way the media is acting you would have thought we lost 35-0 -- we have a long way to go I still say 10-6 THE MEDIA? Are you counting JN and other message board as media? The media isn't calling for heads...or a head...after a loss. Fans overreacted a decent amount too...It's too be expected but I thought SOJ was in the process of dying. Thanks Max...I do try...even if it seems like I think I know it all....I knew enough to not lose my sh*t over a Week 1 loss to a team that has been described as our older brother anyway. Agree crashing, the JETS will be 0-2 with their backs against it flying to Miami for that MUST win Sunday nighter, where they will straighten out their season by beating the fish then the Bills to finish up the 1st quarter at 2-2. Mandarinia
This loss can only help us. By loosing Monday night, the coaches and players have a better perspective of the NFL. I feel that Rex has distorted this perspective by injecting too much confidence. This was a wake up call.
PatsFanTX
The way the media is acting you would have thought we lost 35-0 I never get this. What's the difference if you lose 35-0 or 10-9? A loss is a loss.

True but SOJ will never die until we hold up the Lombardi Trophy -- That's just the way it is. But watching Jim Rome and other talking heads you would have figured we got our asses kicked which by no means did that happen. I am over it -- on to Sunday. Oh I understand that -- but all the talk of getting smacked in the mouth they ran all over us blah blah blah. we did some smacking ourselves just ended up losing a close game -- They were drooling for us to lose just to pummel us with bullsh*t If we would have won -- the focus would have been more on the Mexican hottie and the victory downplayed. and the bad part this is only the begining -- Rex has created a monster and we the fans will have to grin and bear it. unless we win a SB of course

In a blowout game you just got your a$$ kicked and you just move on. In a close game, there are too many "if this, then that" scenarios where you could have one the game. A close loss is much harder to take than a blowout.

The Ravens were expected to be a better team than us, especially at this point in the season...the Bills are going to be picking in the top 5. Fact of the matter is, Miami led the Bills the entire game. They took the lead in the 1st and never relinquished it. Probably because of our #1 ranked defense. PatsFanTX
You scraped by the Bills. We lost to a Super Bowl contender. Does that really matter? Because at the end of the day the Phins are 1-0 and the Jets are 0-1.

It's week 1, so at this point none of it matters all that much. But trying to make an argument that one team is better than another because one won on opening weekend and the other lost is laughable, considering they didn't play each other. Unless of course you'd like to take the stance that the Chicago Bears and Tampa Bay Buccaneers are better than the Indianapolis Colts.
NYJ37/12
My play sheet has it working out differently You need to worry about YOUR team making it out of Minnesota alive and well. A loss is a loss but the way you lose definitely has an effect on how you prepare the following week...Could care less what people say, especially dolfag fans, but losing by one to a very good team because of undisciplined play is easier to accept then losing 35-0 to ANY team...discipline problems can be worked out quickly.. crashingjet
Meh...your team still is more overrated than ours! Considering Miami wasn't going around all summer proclaiming themselves Superbowl champs, I don't see how Miami could possibly more overrated than the Jets. You guys created your hype, now you have to deal with the consequences of being a mediocre team. The fact that you think yards allowed is a more important statistic than points allowed says all that ever really needed to be known about your level of football acumen. Not my stats, it's what the NFL has on their website. I posted a link the other day, check it out.

HardKoreXXX
You scraped by the Bills. We lost to a Super Bowl contender. F*ck the Dolphins. I wouldn't call it scraped by. With the exception of one drive that resulted in a TD due to a busted coverage, the Bills moved the ball about as well as the Jets did. Which is to say, not at all. Plus, it was on the road in Buffalo. You know, the place where the Jets and Dolphins both lost last year.
