Pats sign Woodhead

First of all what a dooshy move Hoodie with the title. It does not fool anyone!

But its not a surprise that the Pats signed him after the Maroney trade. I had predicted this would happen.

But the fact he was signed so late in the week means the Pats do not have any plans of using him in the game. He was just signed for the information gathering and nuisance value and to get back at the Jets.

Looks like Rex Ryan is getting to the Bellichick!

I'm chuckling at the thought of Belichick actually feeling the need to grill a former Jet on the vast intricacies of the Jets offense. Is there such a thing in the NFL as a 33 minute contract?

Okay coach...here is was our game plan....we have a total of 4 plays...

1. Have all the players in the backfield switch position. This isn't really actually a play we just do it as a practical joke on Mark. Man does he get confused when we do that. You should see his face in the huddle on the next play. Its a freakin hoot.

2. Run the ball to the right.

3. Run the ball to the left.

4. Throw a check-down pass to the tight end who run out of bound 1 yard short of the first down marker, untouched.

BB doesn't need Danny to decode the Sanchez checkdown offense. Stealing a Jets defensive player for intelligence on the blitz packages I could see, but not the offense. Danny Woodhead is the type of verstile plays that plays multiple positions that BB likes to round out the bottom of roster with.

Seriously.....why do JN act like this is surprise?

This gamesmanship has been happening for a long time. O'Connel was signed a few days after being released from the Pats. Whatever Woodhead can provide will mean little. Which ever team executes better will win.

Didn't the Jets get O'Connell in a trade from the Lions?

yes, and they kept him all this time and paid him all this time and kept 4 QB's on the active roster just because they were trying to steal info for 1 game
