faba
I still say NE rules this division until we take them down- Brady more dangerous than Henne by a long shot-
SenorGato
I like having the Pats as a rival. They've done things like win and sh*t...I'm picking them.

But this week, I'm just rooting for lots of weaknesses getting exposed in a long and grueling game.
Greenranger
Miami. Their remaining schedule is a little harder than New England's, so I would like for The Pats to take a loss here.
sirlancemehlot
Rooting for the fish. We play them at home again and have a good shot at whooping them. Pats are away and tough to beat in Gillette. Better if their Div. record is worse than Dollyfins at that point.

Jetsfan80
Miami. They'll drop some games on their death march of a schedule. New England, meanwhile, will be toe-to-toe with us all the way up until week 13 in Foxborough. I'll be rooting for Miami, but the Pats will win. neckdemon
i'd just like to see each qb get sacked about 8 times. and a real hard hitting brutal game where no player comes out feeling 100% for the rest of the season. idk who to root for.....but i think a nice demoralizing loss to the fins will effectively eliminate their hopes and cause marshall to start his prima donna act even earlier than i anticpate. war ensemble
I'm rooting for an overtime tie, but barring that I'll take a Miami victory. New England will be tougher down the stretch so hopefully they can rack up the losses early.

slats
I don't bet, but I just saw now that NE is listed as 1 point favorites in Miami. That's gotta be motivation for the fish. I know NE is the bigger threat to the Jets for the division, but the idea of Miami dropping to 2-2 by losing two AFCe games at home.... it just warms my heart in a special way. AFJF
Both teams should rot in hell. However, from a realistic standpoint, the Pats are still the bigger threat so you have to pull for Miami for the sole purpose of having it benefit the Jets. It's early in the season. I'd have a tough time rooting for them the last week of the year when the Jets need them to win for some mathematical reason to get into the playoffs. No way I can bring myself to root for them this early. Just can't. Who knows? NE could implode on their own, too.

AFJF
I think New England in the long run is the weaker team I was thinking the same thing but just going off of recent history you have to assume that Brady and Belly will be the bigger problem. Honestly, I hope the two teams spend four quarters and a full OT kicking the sh*t out of each other in a 0-0 tie. That's what I'm rooting for. slats
I think New England in the long run is the weaker team Could be. Their defense doesn't look good, that's for sure. But their offense always has to be feared. Especially now that they have the Head of Wood. Definitely expect a high scoring game this week. Miami has to be concerned about dropping into another 14-0 hole. Doubt they'll defer if they win the toss.

The league is catching up with this "The NFL is a QB-driven league" crap. Look at what happened last week to Green Bay...you can have 400 passing yards and lose if you have no running game. newjakecity
Miami. Two reasons: 1) New England has home games in Dec/Jan against both the Jets and Miami. Miami on the other hand has to travel to both places in the late season. Based on that, you'd have to think New England has the edge in terms of advantage, so I'd rather them having to play catchup as much as possible. 2) Look at the next four games for both teams after the bye (both coming up after the game). New England hosts Baltimore, is at San Diego, hosts Minnesota, and is at Cleveland. Can't see them going less than 2-2. Whereas Miami is at Green Bay, hosts Pittsburgh, is at Cincinnati, and at Baltimore. They could steal one, but they won't be favored to win any of those games. Big_Slick
I hope they beat the living crap out of each other. +1 I hate both teams. The Pats* for cheating and the Dolphins for the fake spike play, Shula not covering the field, Dan Marino, the ref's for giving them every questionable call and a multitude of other things over the past 40 years. I think the Pats* are the better team. Belicheat is clearly a better HC than that Dolphin clown and Cindy Brady is hands down a better QB than either Chad. That said I can't root for either team this early in the season. I could only root for the Dolphins if it was the last game of the season and a win would benefit us in some way. PatsFanTX
I think New England in the long run is the weaker team Pats have a top 3 NFL offense. Young defense will get better as the year goes on.
T0mShane
Some great posts in this thread. My view is that the Pats are the ogre guarding the bridge and the Jets aren't going anywhere until the Pats are dead and buried. Miami, to me, is not a legit contender because of Sparano and that stupid wildcat novelty offense in combination with that putrid secondary. If Miami beats the Pats, that means only great things for the Jets.
