Bleedin Green
Awesome stuff. As soon as he was cut I was thinking he was a guaranteed Jet, but then it seemed as though the two sides already had an agreement to bring him back in, so I thought it was a lost cause. Sounds like Rex worked his magic and moved quickly to make him a Jet. Great move. Guy obviously knows the system, and with Pitoitua on IR and Pouha being exclusively a NT now with Jenkins gone, the DE depth certainly came into question. Until now the Jets head Ellis, Devito, and... Gholston? That's it. I like it.

Integrity28
I have no problem with this. But is there something going on we don't know about. Jenkins and Pitoitua out for the season. D-line cannot get pressure on QB without blitzing. Price knows Rex's D. Ellis and some of the other fatty's got totally gassed in the heat in Miami last week... we need depth and we need experience on the line. Makes sense to me. JiF
Obviously a depth signing but its needed. I trust Rex when it comes to this stuff. Last year we had Green and Douglas. Now we have Green and Pryce. I like that combo better. Interesting the Jets chose Pryce over A.Thomas....hmmm?

Now we have Green and Pryce. I like that combo better. Interesting the Jets chose Pryce over A.Thomas....hmmm? Pryce is more of a true DE than Thomas. We have plenty of hybrid types with Pace, Bryan Thomas and Taylor. A. Thomas would be overkill at a position we are already strong at.

A more true DE that can generate pressure in those base cover packages.
SoFlaJets
Terrell Suggs: Trevor Pryce signed with Jets Posted by Michael David Smith on September 30, 2010 11:09 AM ET A day after he was released by the Baltimore Ravens in a move that appeared to be only temporary, defensive lineman Trevor Pryce may have left for the New York Jets. Ravens linebacker Terrell Suggs wrote on Twitter that Pryce had signed with the Jets, and although there's been no formal announcement, the Ravens seem to think it's a done deal, as the team's Twitter account re-tweeted Suggs' tweet. From the Jets' perspective, the move makes sense: Pryce played for Jets coach Rex Ryan for three seasons while Ryan was the Ravens' defensive coordinator. It won't take Pryce long to get up to speed in the Jets' defense. Pryce can take his termination pay from the Ravens and still play and get paid for the rest of the season for the Jets. UPDATE: Just after we clicked publish on this item, PFT was able to confirm that Pryce is, indeed, going to the Jets.

SoFlaJets
Patrick Turner that WR from Miami? or HOPEFULLY David Clowney who I want OFF of my team as soon as possible only because he can't catch the friggin ball and has never gotten better since we signed him 3 years ago-at least with Turner there is a possible upside, and I know that he CAN catch a football. Thor99
Patrick Turner that WR from Miami? That's what I'm thinking. The Jets shouldn't need him for Buffalo, did he even get in the Miami game? And then we get Holmes back the next week.

SMC
The Jets are thin on the DLine. Signing makes perfect sense. The Jets needed depth and Pryce would be a solid rotation guy. The Jets LBs will get a boost from Pace returning next week and the WRs will get a boost from Holmes coming back next week as well. Turner is likely gone and we'll have to see who else. THE ILK
What's his health status? He has no stats for 2010. He's played some, I think he has like 3 tackles this year. His play was limited last year too, but he put up some good numbers, and led the team in sacks.
