If you were holding out for an iPhone, go with a Droid. My daughter was holding out for an iPhone, too, did some research, and decided on the Droid (we have AT&T, too). I have to say, it's beautiful. Nicer screen than the iPhone (which I have), really nice graphics. Much better camera! They have plenty of apps - which they call something else. You can run multiple applications at once (which you really can't do on the iPhone). She's got this thing called Google Goggles where you can take a picture, and it will recognize it and bring you to a google search page about it. Pretty cool. I'll see what Apple has when I'm ready for a new phone, but I could definitely see making the move to one of these. If I was looking today, I would. BP
It depends on what you need it for. if you only want to make calls and surf the net get the droid. if you wanna make calls and get emails go with the blackberry curve 2<--the best blackberry
gg
thanks guys.. how about the LC Ally? anyone have that?
ECURB
thanks guys.. how about the LC Ally? anyone have that? That is a basic model and will be outdated quicker due to less updates and less capability. If you are going to get a smartphone that you will have for two years, do not skimp. Get a Blackberry Bold 9650 or a higher end Android device.

You must not have the iPhone 4, I'd say that has a nicer screen than the Droid (slightly higher resolution, etc)--the Samsung phones have a monopoly on the S-AMOLED screens that are really nice. With all that said, gg do you want a phone with a hardware QWERTY keyboard (a la Droid 2), a decent-sized touchscreen (Droid Incredible or Samsung Fascinate) or a larger screen touchscreen (Droid X)? I would suggest one of the Droid 2 or the Droid X over the Fascinate...Samsung does a tremendous job of trying to ruin Android. Their software layer over it (Touchwiz 3.0) is fugly, and it has a good few bugs (GPS etc.). I wouldn't buy a phone from Samsung until they work on the software. The Droid 2 might be a solid bet, in my opinion. Or you can wait for the Droid Pro.
Maxman
Like was stated already, any high end Droid. Since the iPhone isn't an option just go check them out. Not sure what your preferences are, keyboard, no keyboard. Some people love Droid X others say it is too big. I would say just go check them out...one will make you happy.
