LionelRichie
the knock against LT was durability and it's only week 4. I spend a lot of time in SD and they all say the same thing - wait until the end of the season and playoffs. So far he has been amazing and much better than advertised but let's wait and see what happens at the end of the year before handing him the MVP trophy. JerryK
It's all about the line. Put Larry Johnson behind a Dick Vermiel line and you've got 1600 yards on the ground. The Redskins cut him with a line composed of girl scouts.

This is the same sh*tty franchise that declared Drew Brees was done, and chokes out in the playoffs yearly. If they think you're done that just means you'll win a SB. Well if that happens, we have Greene who excels late in the season and the playoffs!! LT is on a mission - he won't break down. Final stats has Greene with more carries on the day. I'm not denying good runners the instinct and skills they need. But holes are nice too. What could Curtis Martin have done behind last years line? What could Curtis Martin have done behind last years line? I'm gonna go ahead and say 1402 yds on 4.2 per attempt with 14 tds. Roughly.

gangreenman
I guess I'm just saying LT is awesome...and behind a decent line he's awesome x2. Decent? Easily a top 5 run blocking line in the league..... I agree with the sentiment that the NFL season is a marathon...Not a race. Its not who starts out the fastest, its who can finish in front of the rest. I must say these last three weeks have erased any doubt whatsoever I had in this coaching staff. Our best CB, our best pass rusher, our best DLinmenan, and our best WR have been injured and suspended and we are 3-1 on the season 3-0 in the division and 2-0 on the road in hostile environments. That to me is a sign of good coaching and strategy because it means the coaches are putting together a gameplan that hides the weaknesses of these players being out and capitalizes on opposing team's weaknesses. Also they get credit for coaching up and developing their 2nd tier players. Also a reason our ST has been dominant so far this season.

neckdemon
i know LT had a bad year last year. and th eyear before a pedestrina year by his own standards....but if oyu watched any of his plays fromlast year you could see he still had more spped than TJ, more tackle breaking ability, an dmore burst. i knew he would be an upgrade.....and i don't even think it's debatable at this point. our running back are better than they were last year. our receivers are better and our qb is better. it's nice to know we can win a game with offense and defense working together. jason423
I said way before the season began that he would put up similar per play numbers as TJ did last year, but I have to admit Im shocked at how good he has looked especially when he goes to the outside. The line hasnt played as well as last year and he is tearing it up right now. I just hope his body holds up for 19 games

You realise hes done this in basicly part time duty. Greene ran for 117 hard yards today. This will keep both backs fresh for the playoffs barring any freak injuries. If Tomlinson was used as our full time feature back he would probably be leading the league in Rushing and TD's (thats when you would have to worry about durability going into the postseason) thats scary, for the AFC that is.
