DolfanTom
Hey guys, for what it's worth, this is the most impressed I've been by the Jets ..... ever? Even in '98, I didn't think you were this good. You've got a good team, I'm shocked how good actually. Especially if we beat NE pretty good tonight, that'll show me even more. You kicked the Bills offense around in Buffalo, the same offense that lit up the Pats in NE last week!! Anyhow, I don't usually say much good about the Jets, so enjoy it while it lasts. You guys are pretty darn good!

DireJet38
It all comes down to staying healthy. We cannot afford significant injuries on the offensive and defensive lines. Depth is far too thin in the trenches.

The 98 team did it with smoke and mirrors on defense. I just remember that year as being the one in which the Jets just would never seem to lose. There's been other good years here and there, but that was the one that had me worried. Frankly, I thought we'd split this year, w/ us winning last week. When that didn't happen, it got me to thinking, and then yesterday. I think my Dolphins are very good, and you got our best effort last week, at home, w/ a great crowd. THAT's what scares me. SoFlaJets
The 98 team did it with smoke and mirrors on defense. and with some luck in that Seattle game and also with Leon Johnson and Aaron Glenn scoring TDs on ST's won us a game or two. Ya gotta have luck and a couple of calls that go your way. So far the Jets haven't gotten any help at all from the zebras so far this year and we're due

Depth is far too thin in the trenches. that too dj-that's another thing about that '98 team we were healthy all year-I think Chrebet was banged up for a couple of games but I can actually remember looking at The Palm Beach Post and how they would print the injury reports and how the Jets' were always maybe 1 or 2 guys while other teams' looked like a paragraph long

Jbro22
Like we all said Sanchez is the key and he's been perfect the last 3 games. He'll inevitably have bad games this year, every QB does - it all comes down to how many he has and staying away from a multi week slump.

You might be on to something there! Screw you, Tom. I think that 98 team can still kick your a$$. As long as they blow a 10-point halftime lead in the AFC Championship game again, we're all good! Is this a trap? Nope. I woke up this morning and I'm like, "Crap, the Jets really are a good team, aren't they!" Thought I'd share it w/ the world .... or JetNation at least. What is that anyway? Long Island, parts of Queens, a few homeless people in East Rutherford, NJ and half the retired population in SoFla??
THE ILK
Nope. I woke up this morning and I'm like, "Crap, the Jets really are a good team, aren't they!" You're a little slow, what did you wake up thinking after we beat you in miami by 8 in week 3.
DolfanTom
You're a little slow, what did you wake up thinking after we beat you in miami by 8 in week 3. Hey, that's part of it. But seeing how you dismantled the Bills - in a game that I thought might be a trap for you, given the previous two games, and the Favre bowl next week - really impressed me. If you had lost yesterday, or if the result was even in doubt in the 4th quarter, I'd be thinking you were still good but vulnerable. Now, not sure where you are vulnerable quite frankly. I'm serious as a heart attack here!! Like I said, I like my team a lot, and even at what I felt was our best, you beat us, at our place. As a result, I feel real good about tonight, but that's another story. Look, I HATE to admit this. This sucks, a lot!! But the unbiased fan in me (it's about 10% on good days) sees what I see, and the Jets are good.

DolfanTom
Like I said, you're a little slow. Welcome to reality. Dude, we weren't THAT far away from possibly tying the game last week. Not like you beat us 38-10 or something. You won, fair and square, and it was an impressive road win, but I wasn't about to crown you champs just after that. But when you back it up w/ a trouncing of a bad team when a lot of teams might falter, taking the week off, it speaks volumes.
