serphnx
Wow..he has faced some putrid competition after the bye. Yeah it's hard to remember how good those teams were at those times, I don't think any were decent though. I told a friend I expect Favre to throw for 4 INTs next Monday. He told me that is a conservative estimate, and he expects more. This is a non-Jets fan mind you.

One thing for sure, Favre is going to lay it up for Moss plenty on Monday The Jets are hardly Favre's old team. He obviously saves that sh*t for the Packers. The Jets freed him from the Packers, and freed him again to go where he always wanted to go. How much animosity could he have? I hope it's the Jets who have some animosity towards him. I'm sure Moss is less than thrilled with having the Jets in his first game back in Minny, though.

I'm talking story lines.. not the players.. this game just became a much bigger story... and the powers that be would like nothing more then to write the story of the two old guys, desperate to be teammates for years, finally united and hanging 3 TD's on the big bad jets.. I actually have to agree with you. It's a big stage for an ego-maniac like Favre. Any Jet fan that thinks this game is in the bag is out of their mind ESPECIALLY with Randy on that team. In my gut I feel this is the game Sanchez sh*ts the bed.

CTM
So the media are the football gods? No, football gods are also concerned with popularity of sport, seeing Randy and Favre hang a couple of long TD's on the jets is good for the sports popularity.... Should be fun in any event.. Should be fun in any event.. Perhaps. I seem to remember Moss fake-mooning the Packer fans in Lambeau one season, and later I remember Favre blubbering when the Packers didn't make a move to get Moss. Now they're united in Minnesota, with Moss's old team and Green Bay's nemesis. Definitely an interesting storyline.

Yeah, there's just something unsettling about this game. Still can't completely put my finger on it, but since last week I have been thinking that this is the one game I just have a bad feeling about. I'm much more unsettled about this one than any of the Ravens, Patriots or Dolphins games. That said, if the Jets come out and continue to perform at a high level and do like they've done for the past 3 weeks, I think that would be another huge step. Despite Favre's early struggles, it's a tough team coming off of their bye and the lights couldn't possibly be brighter than it will be in this one. That said, if things do go badly and our fears are realized, it's a lot better to happen against an out-of-conference team.
