GREENBEAN
ESPN is ridiculous! Did they see that Herm Edwards FAIL as the Hermanator and think..." WOW! We need to do something like that?" I am starting to hate watching pregame stuff lately.

Vudu
They should but a turban on brett's pee wee, and do a mini me swami one. It's hilarious how they're barely talking about it. If it were someone else like a diva WR or Rb they would have a Sportscenter Special about it.

CoachTsurfing
I'm getting tired of pro sports in general. I would be a bigger college fan except the bcs screws that up. So, I just follow the jets and the yankees and that's it. Even basketball is getting on my nerves.
Bugg
I stopped watching the pregame shows a long time ago. Watched a bit of ESPN and NFLN this morning. Was a rare day when I wasn't doing something with the Mrs., the tyke or the dog. First ESPN's Chris Berman prepped their big story a bit saying it was the most controversial topic of the week. This was followed not by Brett Favre sexting his dick to Jen Sterger, but by Randy Moss idiocy, in which ESPN featured something about Jared Allen manfacturing wool socks with Randy Moss. This was supposedly humorous. I turned it off. NFLN consists of Marshall Faulk, Rich Eisen and Steve Maruicci trying to talk about football. But mostly it was Michael Irvin and Warren Sapp trying to outyell and outcliche everyone else in the room. In the age of 24/7 media and the internet, it seems the networks must think anyone who tunes into them before 1PM is an idiot. If I were a betting guy or a fantasy player looking for late info, I got nothing from these shows. Suspect NFLN wouldn't be bad if they dumped the Miami 2 and had the other 3 guys actualy treat their audience like thinking people. But if they are going to keep catering to morons there is no good reason to watch.
kelticwizard
I never watch pregame shows in any sport because it is obvious that the people doing the broadcasting have no more idea as to who is going to win than the people doing the watching. T0mShane
Networks cater to the casual fan--the guy who doesn't think about the NFL until Sunday morning. This is the guy that tuned in this morning and said, "No way...Randy Moss was traded?"
GREENBEAN
Networks cater to the casual fan--the guy who doesn't think about the NFL until Sunday morning. This is the guy that tuned in this morning and said, "No way...Randy Moss was traded?" While I actually agree with your post, I still have no idea how the hell a team of writers and producers could not only come up with the idea for Ditka Tracy or the Hermanator and think.... OH YEAH!!! That's good! We really got sumtin there! Then have an NFL legend like Ditka agree to do it. It's not a spur of the moment thing man. this was actually THOUGHT of. LOL This had to be created and approved. There fifty people that went along with this BS. I'm starting to hate most things. I mean that. I was doing yard work yesterday and a new shovel I bought broke the first time I was using it. My father has had the same damn shovels since I was a little kid in the 70's. I hate that shovel and the store I bought it from more than I hate Ditka Tracy!
