SenorGato
Also, neither is being paid enough or is old enough to be truly all that good.
Bruce Banner
Feely is better than Jason Taylor. JT is the new Ty Law, a washed up player who goes to the Jets and and only makes plays that don't matter but add to his stats. I would rather have Feely than anything JT has done or will do. I get the Taylor hate, I really do, but the strip sack of Brady in week 2 was huge. Granted with that sack on Favre at the end the game already seemed out of reach, but it was nice to help get some more assurance towards that, and you can't help but smile seeing Favre get creamed like that. But regardless, Folk is a better kicker than Feely anyway, so what does it matter?

SenorGato
It's just that I'm always wrong about everything to do with football. It's such a hard game. Two different kind of kickers? What the H?

Not true guy, like everyone else, including players and coaches, sometimes you are correct and sometimes not correct. Ease up on yourself, the Jets won to go 4-1 on the season. Enjoy it. This is no time to engage in self-hatred and loathing among Jets fans!
Smashmouth
Are placekickers and punters even accepted in NFL locker rooms as full-fledged football players, let alone leaders? Well in response to that Weatherford has been fantasticc this year and he did well tonight in some shakey conditions.
kelticwizard
Well in response to that Weatherford has been fantasticc this year and he did well tonight in some shakey conditions. Yes, Weatherford has certainly punted well tonight. But you can you imagine a kicker or punter being looked up to as one of the team's leaders? Imagine a punter making a speech in the locker room about how they have to fight harder and play smarter?
Sperm Edwards
Weatherford not only punting well but not bobbling the ball in that downpour was key also. It's only not a factor in hindsight because he planted the ball perfectly every time for Folk (as well as not bobbling long snaps on his punts). Yeah, he should do exactly that. But guys should do lots of stuff that they mess up on all the time. There were lots of dropped balls on snaps and passes all game. Nice job by Weatherford last night. I was about to ask how many people were foaming at the mouth over him after the opening kick off...lol He's been outstanding. 5 for 5 in those conditions is very impressive.
