SoFlaJets
This morning around 7:30 I was dreaming about being at a gig and playing this great new song that everybody liked. So I'm thinking (while I'm dreaming) whose song IS this anyway when I realized it was an original. An original that I hadn't written yet. So I got right up out of bed and pulled a guitar down off the wall and started writing what I heard in my dream. It took me about 6 1/2 hours but I finally finished it. It's called "I Was Only Dreamin'". That never happened to me before...it came out pretty damn good too IMHO...

DMaynard
That is neat, Jimmy. I have a recurring dream where I see a UFO real close to the ground and unmistakeable. Still waiting for that one to come true ...
Aten
Same way Keith Richards wrote "Satisfaction," IIRC. This isn't actually true but is so widely accepted that I can't even find a cite contra. Must have been a book. Clapton's autobiography maybe? Dunno. Anyway, after McCartney wrote Yesterday he was playing it for everyone trying to figure out whether he had written the melody in a dream or merely remembered it. Among the people he played it for was Richards, who at the time was of course in the business of cravenly ripping off everything the Beatles did. He stole the backstory and beat them to the punch, releasing Satisfaction as a single a couple months before Help! came out.

My source is some interview with Richards, which if anything makes your explanation even more probable.

It's not like it was an interview from the 60's, this was recent.

Still waiting for that one to come true ... Just the other day I saw an amazing picture, shot from a satellite from Google earth of a UFO over a field-the thing was gigantic and cast a shadow on the ground making it clear that it was a cylinder hovering-I'll see if I can find it for you Dennis http://paranormaldailynews.com/2010/08/24/flying-ufo-photographed-by-google-earth-satellite-image/

When you've lived the lifestyle he has, acclamation = reality, because how the hell would he remember?

dbatesman
the tape recording... Sure, but I don't know if that's ever been verified. It doesn't matter; rock and roll is more about legend than fact anyway.
SoFlaJets
WOW!!! I mean what could that possibly be? Look how big it is and look at how high up it is...at first glance one could think hmm, maybe a grain silo but there are no sides on the shadow and it's way too high up for that. It is either a true UFO - i.e. - unknown, or a hoax. Not a frisbee or garbage can lid hoax, but a computer generated photo hoax. I don't know enough about its origin and subsequent handling to judge the probably of that.
