So what happens when Sanchez starts turning the ball over?

Recommended Posts

How bad will it get/look?

It should hold off for one more week. The Broncos D is pretty beat up. Even then they probably get gritty or something...

What do you mean start ? Its been 5 games this year, and his growth in 22 games has been amazing. If he has a bad game like all QB's do, including the great ones, there will be no need to dwell on it . Something clicked with this kid and he looks very comfortable and very much in charge, he has developed into a leader and with that leadership comes confidence. Its much easier to play confident than to play scared and thats the difference you have been seeing and will continue to see.

Talk to me about how he cannot throw the long pass. Its always a jump ball.

Tell me about the 7-8 passes he threw this year that should have been ints but werent.

Discuss why his avg yds per is <7.

Don't share your complaint about his long ball, and every QB in the league has thrown a handful of should've been intercepted passes.

But there's plenty of room for improvement with Mark. His completion percentage and yards per attempt are both low. He's faced two very good defenses outside of the division, and played pedestrian (putting it politely) in both. But he's protecting the football (no fumbles, either), and he's winning. Against a banged-up pass happy team like Denver, this is a game where he should really open it up.

Slats, I honestly cant think of one deep throw that was accurate this year.

I really think the zero ints are due to luck not talent.

I agree with the pedestrian as adjective description.

So wrong...there's tons of need to dwell on it...we need to figure out what went wrong there and who can be blamed for it.

You take him out and start Brunell!

Look Mark is going to throw a pick. He should have had a couple thrown already. Every QB is going to have a bad game. I honestly think Mark is pressing not to throw a pick. He needs to get that off his mind and start slinging it without fear. A lot of his passes were off the Mark against the Vikes. He's gotten tighten it up some.

Low??

He's ranked 29th and 31st in each category.

That's not low, it's rock bottom.

His lack of efficiency may be our downfall. I could see him getting Tony Romo'd for a couple years as he builds his reputation in this league. Lucky, unlike Romo he got his start at 22 rather than 27.

Do I seem to not understand that? He's just above that schmuck, Matt Cassel, and I'm not pleased with that at all. Definite room for improvement. Hopefully it starts to come now that two of the toughest defenses they'll play all year are behind them. (Hint: both of those defenses play in Foxboro this year, but neither is the Pats').

Fortunately his TD/int ratio is #1 in the NFL.

What's going to happen when the Jets are down 2 scores with 6 minutes to go in a game?

His 1.6 YPA isn't going to erase that kind of deficit.

That username won't fool anyone. You are ghey!!

oh...5 picks is what Henne throws in a single game!

Who am I trying to fool? I said I'd change my username and I meant in an exciting like I hope he does way.

Henne has never thrown 5 picks, he's never thrown 4, but Sanchez has.

If he hasn't he will. Its a ticking time bomb.

Not many QB's in the league have done such a great job of protecting the ball in their 2nd year as a QB.

Who hasnt/is a ticking time bomb? Sanchez or Henne? You cant actually believe that Sanchez is going to keep this up? He's going to throw picks. It happens and its o.k. But yeah, the model has been impressive. He's very young and inexperienced, yet he's got a veteran presence out there this year. Cant lie, I'm excited about the kids future. I think he could be really good, dont know if he'll be elite ever, but he looks to be one of those QB's who smart and though he doesnt have all the tools, the lack of, doesnt hurt him. He's got a team around him that can win, and they are finally learning how exactly to do that. Hopefully it stays that way.

Henne. But thats just some interwebz hyperbole! :D

Nobody is saying sanchez will go through the season with 0 INTS.

But he has shown a lot more maturity that you see from a QB in his 2nd season in the NFL.
