Sparano could care less.....

Sparano could care less what fans think about quarterback situation

Ben Volin of the Palm Beach Post reports every time Henne throws a particularly ill-timed interception - as he did twice in the first half against New England - and every time ESPN's Chris Mortensen reports via "sources" that Bill Parcells is disappointed in Henne, the question gains more traction:

Is Pennington, an 11-year veteran relegated to an unofficial player-coach role, better suited than Henne to quarterback the Dolphins this season?

"He's the 1,000-pound elephant in the room sometimes," coach Tony Sparano said of Pennington, who lost his job to Henne last year after suffering a season-ending shoulder injury in Week 3. "We knew that, obviously. That's one of the things you consider when you bring a player like Chad (Pennington) back."

Dolphins radio analyst Joe Rose said he hears the calls for Pennington "every day" on his morning show on 560 WQAM, and more than a few pleas for third-string quarterback Tyler Thigpen.

Those callers will get more strident if Henne struggles Sunday at Green Bay.

"This is no disrespect to any fans out there," Sparano said, "but I could care less what they think about the quarterback situation."

NICE... Bozo speaks again

If Chad gained that much weight, shouldn't they move him to nose tackle?

i think sparano is right here. he shouldn't give a rats a$$ what the fans think about which qb he plays. if he started worrying about what the fans were going to think abotu his roster decisions then it's time to quit.

Coaches say this but ultimately succomb to fan and media pressure. It's really BS that there's been any pressure, but that's why I'm glad noodle arm is gone. No way Pennington has them any better then 2-2 right now. It's really stupid.

if you read finheaven ever you'd know that completion percentage is the number 1 way to rate a qb. pennington is king of the completion%.
