jetscanes331
Haven't heard anything on the boards about Connor the last two weeks. Two weeks in a row throwing a huge block and springing two 20+ yard td's. Kid just destroys people left and right. Safe to say he was a very successful late-round draft pick. DireJet38
He should be on the field more. Via Cimini, here's the playing time breakdown at FB: FULLBACK Tony Richardson --29/62 John Conner -- 9/62 T-Rich is a legend, but I think Conner has earned the right to be getting more than nine reps. I can guarantee LT would support it.

Gotta trust the coaching staff.. he's a rook and probably still learning. I agree that he needs to be in more though, T Rich is getting blown up a lot, but remember how big of a help T Rich was last year to Mark? Maybe Conner just isn't there yet. Sanchez might not. I could be remembering incorrectly, but it seems he's struggled a bit in pass protection.
BroadwayJoe12
Anyone else notice that we throw to him fairly frequently for FB?? Not sure if this is a plan of theirs, but he's seemed to have pretty decent hands. Would be absolutely amazing for us and nacho if our FB can be a legit weapon out of the backfield. Would be dangerous. When he's in its pretty easy to stack against the run. Although I do seem to remember him dropping one or two fairly catchable passes already this year. He got jobbed on that PI call. The Broncos LB absolutely tackled him. But I guess a rookie with the nickname "Terminator" is not getting that call. There was a similar play a few weeks ago when Sanchez had Keller or Connor open when he was on a bootleg and chose to throw to connor. He must have some confidence in the big fella to throw to him with keller open or when tightly covered. But ya, i've seen a couple dropped as well. He got jobbed on that PI call. The Broncos LB absolutely tackled him. But I guess a rookie with the nickname "Terminator" is not getting that call. He was absolutely mugged on that play, not sure how you can call 3 OPIs and miss something that blatant. I felt the same way about some of the insane non-holding calls, on both sides. Now I'm completely ok with them not calling the holding penalties if they were gonna keep it a 'let them play' type of game, but there some absolutely bogus calls. Ahh well, can't complain with a win on a short week and in denver. Gonna be a good two weeks.
Integrity28
All in good time... Connor will have plenty of reps in years to come. T-Rich is not a detriment to the team, there is no reason for him not to be on the field.
whodeawhodat
Conner was absolutely mugged over the middle. As for T-Rich, his best days are physically behind him. Saw him week 1 get BLOWN UP by Ray Lewis and I chalked it up to Ray Ray being a beast. I also figured that Rex didnt want to hurt the rookies progress by starting his first game against the ravens. Last 2 weeks I have seen T-rich be pushed into the RB a couple of times in the backfield. Yesterday LT was tripped up by T-rich's legs in the backfield as well. *shrug* I guess the coaches know something we dont.
JiF
For an offense like this, its a nice luxury to be able to deploy 2 fresh true road grading FB's.

I think the Jets were basically forced to start Richardson based on the circumstances. We'd just cut loose two popular veterans (Faneca & Jones), and you saw the reaction when we cut Richardson (even though we brought him back 2 days later). Keeping him on the roster but starting Conner just wasn't an option at the start of the season. Hopefully Conner's play earns his way onto the field for more snaps. I trust Rex on this one, especially since Conner was Rex's pick, and he's been proven correct in his evaluation.

Jets are gonna want to use that roster spot for someone else once Connor is in year two. Just hope we can replace T Rich in the locker room. I'm sure the team (and T Rich) knows its coming though. It's pretty much up to him if he wants to call it quits. I believe he'd be able to land somewhere else next season if he still wanted to play. He has a lot to bring to a team without even stepping foot on the field.

Obrien2Toon
love T-rich, but haven't seen him deliver a clean block all season. Still serviceable, but Conner would do better.

jetscanes331
I'm looking for a new jersey to buy. Wanted a white one because all my others have been green and I can't wear my Sanchez every game. Can't find a Connor one anywhere. I'd get a Harris jersey if they resigned him. Only other person I'd consider is Mangold. Never know who is going to be around very long anymore.
