Share 0 Comments The Jets announced they have waived linebacker Kenwin Cummings, who originally joined the team in 2008 as an undrafted free agent out of Division II Wingate. The team said there will not be a corresponding roster move today.

Cummings, who did not let Type 1 diabetes slow down his football career, was active for three games this season and recorded zero tackles. He was one of the players caught off guard on the Broncos' successful on-side kick last week.

Behind starters Bart Scott and David Harris, the Jets now have just Lance Laury. Linebackers Josh Mauga and Cody Brown are on the practice squad.

The Jets are on their bye this week, so they wouldn't need to make a move until Monday.

Where the hell did that come from and why? Is Rex gonna bring in AT.

He was a ST'er only and managed to let the onside kick drop in front of him. I don't anticipate Thomas coming in. They'll probably just promote somebody and may well be Gilbert. Maybe they'll bring Chauncey Washington back. That ought to cheer everybody up.

I agree it's probably someone from the Practice Squad. Might also be Cody Brown.

The Jets have had ample opportunity to bring in Adalius Thomas and have passed every time. I don't see that changing anytime soon.
