JiF
I dont know, this list is terrible. No way on the face of the earth is Brady >>>> Marino and Elway. Thats just stupid. Brady is an all time great, but not better than those 2. No way.

Jetsfan80
In Marino's case his lack of Super Bowls is a true knock against him as a player. He had extraordinary talent but was extremely selfish and held some of his teams back. Miami fans argue all the time that if Marino had a Jerry Rice and a head coach like Bill Walsh he'd have won 4 Super Bowls too. I disagree. He'd win 1, maybe 2, before his ego got too inflated and he'd flat-out refuse to run the ball. It's no coincidence that Marino saved some of his worst performances for the postseason. Matt39
Marino is the best QB I've ever seen. Elway is probably the most overrated. Brady is behind Marino but over Elway. Id put Peyton slightly below Brady.
Larz
shady brady still hasn't won a SB, not sure why the chowds keep bringing it up. SB titles are a team achievment anyway. if the pats* had ever won one, it would only matter in comparing teams my top 10 jim brown rice montana sweetness elway rod woodson bart starr emmitt smith butkiss reggie white

Not the case at all! Marino had Clayton and Duper, 2 stud wr's! were they Rice? no, but a receiver doesn't make the QB! Marino's teams had no Defense and no runing game. period. it wasn't selfish and I never heard any Dolphin fan say this! (my brother and brother inlaws are both Dolphin fans) Simply, if he had any kind of running game and a descent Defense, he would have won a couple! He was just amazing to watch, and VERY frustrating to play against!

bitonti
i think it's tough to make a fair "top 20 in 2010" list let alone a "top 20 all time." it's a little arbitrary to compare these players from different eras...

I think the greatest should be Jerry Rice, then Walter Payton, then Jim Brown, and then Tom Brady. Yes, I just said Brady. But this is an unbiased list. Brady has absolutely dominated more than any other player since being in the NFL, so call me a homer already.

I mean he did it without knowing what the other teams plays were going to be. And he was able to come back and have a great season in 93 after playing one game in the previous two seasons. I don't see Joe Greene yet. Stone-cold lock for this list and top 20 isn't a stretch. I also disagree with the placement of Campbell vs. Sayers. Both had shortened careers and both were amazing but Campbell's performance and pure numbers in his first 4 seasons (and 5 of his first 6) were epic GOAT numbers. Two or three more years and he'd be 1a/1b with Jim Brown. Can't put Sayers that far above him.
