What We Learned From NFL Week 7

As much as I dig the parity in the NFL, where a Cleveland can roll up on a New Orleans, I also miss the great, unstoppable teams like Montana's 49ers, the Aikman Cowboys or the 90 Giants. It seems like what's causing the parity isn't so much a diffusion of talent, but an excessive amount of sloppy football across the board, particularly at the QB positions.

The top 6 teams in the league reside in the AFC.

Jets

steelers

ravens

titans

colts

cheats

I'm not convinced that the Falcons are at the kid's table. They belong in that best team discussion. They're 5-2, +36 in net points and +5 in turnovers. They also have no bad losses (@ Pittsburgh, @ Philly) and won their only divisional game in New Orleans. Granted, the Saints just lost to the Browns, but that doesn't take away from the Saints' overall body of work.

Thanks Tom,

The 90's reference is a good one, I think those teams overachieved big time
