SouthernJet
WTF. I give them credit for winning close games, but WTF? A guy think she is in college and puts ball on carpet after play without being tackled. Is this game in doubt if this doesn't happen? Just seems they have had a Horseshoe firmly implanted in their anal cavity so far this year.
Child please
They are just ruining draft position at this point, mediocre football team that's probably still cheating and yes has a horseshoe up it's a$$. Will be abused in the post season if they even get there.
slats
One of the stupidest turnovers of all time. The backwards pass wasn't much better.
Jetsfan80
Good teams take advantage of mistakes and that's what the Patriots did. They made their own luck. The Dolphins, meanwhile, proved how mediocre they were by not being able to pull out the win against Pittsburgh. They were gifted turnovers early and were held to FG's. Then, they had 2:37 left to go get a game-winning FG and went 4 and out. That's the difference between good teams and mediocre/bad ones. The Jets and Patriots have won games even when they didn't play all that great, and in their latest outings, stole wins on the road when they weren't supposed to. Just like many around here were saying, it was premature to suggest that we have the division by the balls. The Patriots are up to the task to make this race a dogfight. Jetsfan80
Who hacked into 80's puter? C'mon TX. 10,000+ posts by me and you don't know by now that I give credit when credit is due? I thought the Pats would lose to both Baltimore and San Diego. They didn't and are 5-1. Props. That being said, its clear as day that New England's defense has serious issues that WILL come back to bite you when going up against a more disciplined and better-coached team (like the Jets). How is a guy thinking that being down without contact is the end of the play like in college "making your own luck?" ya, that was a stretch on 80s part.. that was pure dumbness that pats were fortunate to be the opposing team on field that day Uhh, guys, the Chargers....for all of their idiocy....had ample opportunities to win this game. They didn't get it done. That's where "making your own luck" comes in. If San Diego does what they're supposed to do and wins this game, we aren't talking about that dumb play right now. We'd be talking about the fact that the Pats choked away an opportunity to keep pace with us in the AFC East standings. Instead, the Pats escaped with a "lucky" win on the road, like we did against Denver. They deserve credit for it, and making excuses would be pure hypocrisy on our part. F***ing a$$holes....why'd you have to make me defend the damn Patriots.

I know you do 80, just giving you a hard time. As for the Pats defense, you do realize they are now playing with 4 rookie starters? That's a huge issue right there. Also, other than the Ravens game, Pats have been ahead of teams in the 2nd half forcing them to throw more. Hell, all 2nd half yesterday, Pats LB's were taking 20-25 yard drops in a prevent defense. Rivers did a damn good job hitting the under stuff. When the game was on the line and the Pats needed some 3 and outs, the defense has come through (2 in the 4th quarter and 2 in OT against the Ravens). Way to lay that softball out there for me TX. This wouldn't be a problem if the Pats didn't draft bust after bust. Starting rookies on D is no one's fault but Bill Belichick's, and is NOT a valid excuse.

I like the direction the defense is going. This is the fastest, most athletic defense BB has ever had in NE (Did you see McCourty's pick yesterday?) They will only get better as the season goes on

Pyper
5 and 1 with a young defense that's getting better every week. I'm just enjoying the ride. 12 wins seems attainable. If the offense and defense peak at the right time, we could be a scary team come playoff time. Having said that, I fully expect to see a loss on Sunday. Moss will probably catch 50 TD's in one game and break Jerry Rice's career record. We're D O O M E D ! ! !

C'mon.....more drama, just like Favre, and his media friends, like it. I'm not super worried about Favre. What I am very worried about is the match-up problems that Harvin posses. He's really, really good. Of course, Moss too. I would suspect he has something to prove. LOL! I like Halloween games. I think the costumes at Gillette may be epic. Klecko73isGod
I don't think Favre is going to play and I think its pretty obvious he won't if you think about it. I don't want to come off as cynical here but he is just getting past the Jenn Sterger thing and people have started to sour on his play so what is the best move for Brett Favre? He sits. He sits and people spend a week talking about the streak and praising his greatness.

There are interesting ego issues at work this week: Favre ego issue #1: Childress is trying to "control" Favre and the team. Issue #2: Favre consecutive game streak 3: Favre/Moss at NE would make for high drama and a potentially great game for his legacy 4: Sit and have the media praise the crap out of me 5: Sit and have people feel bad for me as pictures are leaked of my ankle, shoulder, assisting my efforts in putting Sterger and my other leaked picture in the rear-view mirror (also gives me more time to come up with a suitable monetary settlement to buy Sterger's silence).
