OK T.O. crossed a line. IMO

Owens didn’t say anything about Romo but did say about the Cowboys: “They’re 1-5 and can’t say its my fault.”

Owens did take exception to Kris Jenkins’ comments on The NFL Today, when he said the duo was more interested in anything other than football.

“First of all, if he spent more time probably training in the offseason he wouldn’t have to be in a boot commenting on us. Maybe he wouldn’t be getting hurt every year,” Owens said.

Shouldn't have been. The photo was epic ghey but the message was right on. Dude took on Hugh Douglas once.

I'm just really self conscious. What could that picture have done for my image?

But yeah...I really doubt that anyone in this league keeps himself in better shape than TO.

not for nuthin' but maybe TO is right...Jenkins didn't even make it a half this year-most of us figured we'd at least have him until Thanksgiving-he should retire

Jenks injury has nothing to do with being in shape. Bart Scott could have fallen on Jenks knee causing the ligament to tear regardless of the shape he was in.

And not for nothin, but if Jenks wasn't in shape he would have never gotten back on the field for opening day. The dude was rehabbing for 9 months. He was in great shape.

I don't know how you work out more to protect a repaired ACL. So TO isn't right.

But the fact remains that Jenkins has essentially been a bust with the Jets. An injury bust, but a bust nonetheless. He's looking to come back, and if he's on the opening day roster he pockets another $3.75M - so I'm sure he's motivated. Jets are either going to have to cut that pay or cut him. They have money issues coming up in 2011, and will need to spend their money on players who can actually take the field.

He is on pace for 100+ catches, 1400+ yards and 8 TDs. Yeah... He is done.

Guys a baller and is one of my favorite non-Jets in the league.

He hurt my feelings by calling out my boy Big Jenk like that, but Kris probably shouldnt have said what he said. TO is HOF'er, one of the greatest to play his position and IMO all the guy wants to do is win.

Anyone that comes back from the injury he did to have the performance TO had in the SB, is definitely concerned about whats happening on the field and to say different is naive.

I have a feeling their gonna restructure his contract for a few reasons. We have a lot of contracts expiring this off-season and he hasn't played enough games these past two seasons to warrant that kinda pay next year.

Actually Slats you can to a point. First thing is maintaining a reasonable weight to reduce shearing force, kinda silly for a guy who's job it is to be big. Second is maintaining reasonable flexibility in the musculature of the leg.. Quads, Hams, Add, Abd, Gastroc/Soleus, and ITB you can get rebound elasticity in the joint without shearing ligaments. Some studies even suggest that by having tight leg muscles it can negatively effect the blood supply to the knee during strenous activity and deprive the already modest supply to the internal ligaments of the knee. None of this is pure cause and effect because a well directed force is going to shear the ligament regardless, but with Jenks it seems to become a chronic weakness. Maybe longer and more aggressive rehab as well. Bottom line is when it's your job to be 350+ their will be increased risk. If he dropped 45 pounds the effect would be enormous. Trust me on that one. Braces can hurt as well as help.

I guess I should've been more specific.

There's really not a lot a guy who plays NT in the NFL could've done. Given his size, timetable, and job, I think it would be quite a reach to say he could've been doing anything additional conditionally that would've protected him from this injury.

the bottom line is-he's done and should just retire. Like this summer when I, and everybody else here said we didn't expect him to be playing by December. Does anybody expect any different results next year? I know I don't.

and I hope this doesn't turn into the same old BS anti vs pro Jenkins camps-there IS no anti-Jenks campaign going on there are only Jets fans and every one of us loves the guy. How can you not? We all saw the injury against Baltimore, it wasn't some unusual freak play it was man against man stuff and Kris' knee in no longer up to the task.

I think you are missing the point.

Jenkins is a very likeable guy and a very productive player when he was on the field.

But he has bee a bust with the Jets due to his injuries. Not much you can do about that.

I seriously doubt that Tanny and Rex has Jekins slotted in for future plans.

ur not a doctor and beign a fat animal makes all kinds of injuries/illnesses more likely

i really don't understand the need to defend a guy who basically gave us a handful of good games in 3 seasons.. who gives a sh*t
