Iceman88
While this may seem like just a reaction to this weeks game I have been thinking about this all season and finally feel I can post it and not see only replies calling me an idiot. After all of last season and the first 8 weeks of this season does anyone else wish we never traded up and just drafted Josh Freeman at 17? The guy has been looking more and more legit finding ways to win games in the fourth quarter. The guy has an arm and is hard as hell to be brought down. Honestly Freeman looks like he is going to be the better pro at this point in their careers. Sanchez might have been to the AFC championship game last season but lets not act like he was the one who got us there. We may have even just taken Greene in the second round instead of giving up all of our day 2 picks for him in round 3. I know it doesn't matter now and hindsight is a bitch but its still interesting to discuss and I'm curious if anyone else agrees with me.
Maxman
I haven't seen Freeman enough to say. My son said the exact same thing today though. When I saw Freeman last year I wasn't really impressed but haven't seen him this year.

When I saw Freeman last year I wasn't really impressed but haven't seen him this year. Eh...not a crazy thought, I've enjoyed what I've seen from Freeman but think he's been fortunate to play some really weak teams and Ds. They've played, Cleveland, Carolina, Pittsburgh, Cincy, New Orleans, St. Louis and Arizona. Can't complain about the results at all -- very eeriely similar to Vince Young IMO. Has great athletism and has a total cannon of an arm...the knock that Brian Billick today said in the broadcast was his inability to split Cover-2 type schemes and/or drop balls into zones between safeties and corners. That and he sometimes tries to make too much out of nothing and scramble himself into losses/turnovers. Tampa fans should be happy with what they have now, but if he was here the Jets wouldn't have made a run last year and would be 3-4/4-3 based off the teams we've played IMO
SenorGato
It isn't crazy. I underrated the crap out of Freeman personally. I thought he sucked. Guy looks like Big Ben all over again. Knocking guys off...throwing on the run...cannon arm...Would have been cool to have a QB who can see over the O-line again on second thought. I like both guys as pro QBs, and I really liked Sanchez as a prospect then. The guy I wish we drafted was Stafford...there was no chance of getting him. If we draft Freeman, I bet #4 would have been on our team or retired because we would have wanted him back.

It's a valid debate to have, but he's not as good as he looks in highlights.

And would that be a problem at all? If us drafting Freeman led to Favre being permanently retired I would only like the move more.
