Would anyone have signed up for 5-2 back in August?

As much as a bad taste I have in my mouth after Sunday, got to be honest, I would have signed up for 5-2 going into games vs Detroit and Cleveland on the road. I think many of us would have.

I think a lot of the expectations were based on the off season moves, and Hard Knocks.

Ive been a Jet fan for 40 years, and Ive never seen our fans so bi -polar. After the Ravens game, we are in trouble, after the 5 game winning streak, Super Bowl here we come, and after the loss on Sunday, now our team sucks.

Win this Sunday, end the 1st half @ 6-2, which works out to a 12-4 record. Lets all come off the ledge. GO JETS !

I agree with you for the most part Weeb and would have been jubilant with that record before the season started - more so the moment the word came out on Jenkins. I was counting on the offense to be the suspect component, even with all the talent, from the beginning of training camp and it's hard to accept the regression. But thats part of the building process that we're definitely in. If I ever want to find gratitude I just look back to the futility of being stuck with Chad and that puts things in perspective pretty quickly.

No I thought we would lose to Baltimore, Green Bay, Pitt and New England before the season started. So in that aspect I am not upset, however I never thought the Pats would be 6-1. I wanted to be in 1st in the division all year.

I wanted to lead wire to wire as well, but if this serves a wakeup call for the so- called "soft part" of our schedule Im ok with it

My pissitivity has went down, and Im looking forward to headin to Detroit over the weekend.

The Steelers losing to New Orleans surprisingly made me feel a lot better. There's just 1 team we're chasing now in the AFC standings, New England, and we get another shot at them in 5 weeks. Take care of business and we can be in position to take back the division lead when that rematch takes place.

I'm hopeful that our dreadful offensive performance is similar to the Ravens game; another hiccup sandwiched in between a nice streak of wins.

Okay you used pissitivity in a sentence. That means you absolutely have to post here more Double word score for the phrase.

Lets put it this way? The Jets arent notorious for home winning streaks.

You certainly hope not, since we've been beating the cheats at home lately.

You would think that you would beat us more than we beat you, being that we are not notorious for home winning streaks and all.

Yet for some reason it's the other way around.

LOL thanks Max-

I have to give props to Ocho-Cinco, as you know, he is the originator of pissitivity, and I certainly will post more !

Using the past as our guide I guess that means the New England Patriots are notorious for winning every game in the season and playoffs, then losing in the Super Bowl.

Its not about what their record is. Its that we have regressed terribly the last 2 games. We got away with a win in Denver we didnt deserve after not playing well all day. Then we laid a steaming pile of horse crap on the New Meadowlands Fieldturf.

When did Rex say that they were gonna win the Superbowl?

Not to be confused want to win the Superbowl.

There you go....time to start to temper expectations.

That's what Jets fans do.
