THE ILK
I just heard he passed, may he rest in peace. He managed some really great teams, in both leagues. Prayers and condolences to his friends and family.

billybroome
As a kid growing up in the '70's outside of Cincinnati, watching the Big Red Machine with Sparky at the helm was a joy. They won back to back World Series against Boston in '75, (which IMHO was the best Series ever played) then again when they swept the Yankees in '76. He was a good man, and a great manager winning titles in both leagues. R.I.P. Sparky, you will be missed.
