Marcus Dupree story on ESPN 30 for 30 Tuesday

I remember all the hype on this guy. Should be a interesting show.

The Best that Never Was, ESPN’s 30 for 30 film on former Oklahoma running back Marcus Dupree will air Tuesday at 7pm ET

Probably the greatest HS back ever who also played two injury riddled seasons of college ball followed by some non descript USFL and NFL seasons.

On January 1, 1983, Oklahoma played Arizona State in the Fiesta Bowl. Dupree started the game, but had to leave three times due to a broken finger, an ankle injury, a rib injury and a pulled hamstring. Amazingly, in a little over 1/2 of the game's playing time, he amassed a rushing total of 239 yards on only 17 carries, averaging over 14 yards every time he carried the ball from scrimmage. In doing so, he set the rushing record for yards in the Fiesta Bowl and was named the MVP of the game, though Arizona State won the game.

Where the hell have you been? welcome back! TX is back! lol!

Hey BP. I have been reading the site pretty steadily lately. Work got crazy for about 6 months so did not have much time after the season ended last year. Max and crew still have a great site here and yes I see TX is back. I am a big fan however of Larz schooling him on a daily basis.

When does Vernon Gholston get his movie?

It was in pre-production but all plans for filming were called off when "vivid" called and told them they had the rights to any and all movie titles containing the word "bust."
