aec4
I know that's harsh, but think about our draft (NOT FACTORING IN THE DEALS, to get us players, which I know you need to do to really consider everything, but I am talking solely about our drafting on draft day). #1 pick: Wilson - Regulated to a punt returner, and he fumbled during that too and went to the bench until Rex said, "We need a big return here" in the 4th #2 pick: Ducasse - active for 1 game.... #4 pick: Joe McKnight - active for 1 game, and keeping him cost us Woodhead, not that Woodhead would have been the same guy with us #5 pick: Conner - At least he plays, even if it is primarily special teams and some FB Now at the time, I thought Wilson was going to be a find (and we needed someone, because look at our slot coverages). Ducasse also seemed to make sense but he went to projected starter to not dressing. McKnight was going to be our punt returner, at minimum, but he can't play special teams or hold onto the ball. Connor is Connor.

Conner, love this pick. Guy is going to have a long career with us. And Joe who??? I'm trying hard to forget about him.
Child please
Jets can afford to let these rookies be brought along slowly, the roster is loaded. Bankrupt rosters like the patriots need to start rookies regardless of how good or bad they are.

Both guys fumble, maybe McKnight can fumble after a bigger return.
slats
Wilson's been a disappointment. Love to hear that he's getting his head out of his a$$ in practice, and gets his a$$ back on the field in games. Don't know if it's gonna happen this year, but after Coleman's performance today it could happen this week. Ducasse was a project when they drafted him, and continues to be a project. Wonder if they're working him at RT at all. Saw some Turner out there today. McKnight is also a disappointment, but not sure when he's supposed to see the field with LT, Greene, Richardson, and Connor activated every week. Conner will start next season, and may start late this year (the way Greene took over for TJ last season). I can't really dispute the grade for what it is, but the real grade is probably an "incomplete."

Forget about Ducasse for this season and judge him by what he does next year. Wilson is the make-or-break guy in this draft. There's still time for him to start 'getting it' but I'd have liked to see a bit more from him by now.
SenorGato
Project draft. I'm somewhat disappointed that Wilson is struggling because alot of things were said on Hard Knocks, but a non-HOF career can still be good too. I think McKnight is also going to be a fun weapon. Maybe we see him late in the season when LT slows down a little...

Should be interesting to see what this team for Ducasse if it ends up being anything that causes Woody to miss time.

Midget Love 20
Despite the poor play I am still VERY high Kyle Wilson. The guy has a great skill set but is raw right now. He got burnt and thrown on an island very early but I think a year down in the depth charts will serve him great things. Conner is a beast and will be an impact starter next year to replace T.Rich. Vlad hopefully will pan out but was a project player from day 1. McKnight I hope proves me wrong but I really am not sure about having him. I'd give the grade a C- because its too young to judge -- It'll take next year to fully determine it
RutgersJetFan
At this point I think Wilson's ceiling is Fabian Washington. Ducasse will be fine eventually. I don't think either have shown telltale signs of being busts. McKnight's another story but I don't think it's fair to dig too hard into a GM on a 4th rounder. Jet fans have been spoiled; we've been blessed with a crew of players who developed fairly quickly, and with the exception of Gholston, saw a ton of playing time immediately. Don't forget that there are several players on the roster who took several years to develop into the players that they are now. Pouha especially, but also Cotchery (which you could argue was Herm's fault, but still), Thomas, Smith even. There's a reason sometimes why these guys get graded out accordingly for the late first and second. I think Ducasse should just be getting groomed for the RT gig. There's no need to be converting him into a guard unless you're planning on using him as a utility man. Slauson has another two years left on his contract and has played well this season. He'll probably be extended at a reasonable price eventually and I can't imagine Woody being here past '11, not on his current contract at least. No chance he's here in '12 with his currently structured deal. On top of that he'll be like 80 years old by then.
