visajets
I just tossed about 10 expensive dress shirts and 30 white t-shirts all with yellow stains under the arms. The minute I see this discoloring I wont wear the shirt again. Does anyone know of a good anti-perspirent/deodorant that doesnt cause yellow stains? Greenranger
Don't use deodorant with aluminum in it. That can cause extra sweating and can also cause the sweat to stain.

The dry cleaner told me the same thing. But who makes deodorant/anti-perspirent without aluminum in it?

I think all of the Deodorant's sold at those organic health places are aluminum free. I don't know any brands though.
JerryK
This is going to sound like I'm joking, but I'd say try not to sweat so much. urine and sweat are both similar in their secondary role of emitting nitrogen-containing wastes. Compounds containing nitric acid stain things yellow very easily. I think if the sweat has enough extra stuff (salt, maybe aluminum, dirt from being a slob) to form weak Nitric Acid, the yellowing can get worse. Exact reason why Crusher's office is like a freakin meat locker and all the old folks come in and tell me to turn the heat up. We bought 10 nice fuzzy blankets and problem solved. My problem isn;t yellowing shirts, I never wear white, food stains show up to much. My problem is looking like I took a 10 mile jog after only walking to the bathroomn. Heh, sorry Crusher, I didnt want to bring weight into the picture but I assume larger folk see the problem without even trying very hard. I'm a computer guy, never sweat, and my shirts last 10+ years.

visajets
OK, so you are not a slob, but nervous and fidgety. Not at all and I barely sweat. My dry cleaner says its a common problem caused by deodorant that stains white clothing on men and women. There has to be a deodorant/anti-perspirent that doesnt cause this on the common market. #27TheDominator
Portly. Well-endowed. Skinny. (Thin people don't deserve the term skinny, they have half the skin fat people do) Fat people have big dicks? Most deodorants don't have aluminium. It's anti-perpirants that have the aluminium. I'm not a fan of anti-perspirant, but that's a personal choice. I've heard the aluminium in anti-perpirants can cause alzheimers/dementia, but I think that's since been disproved (or never proven by satifactory tests) I'd never heard about it staining shirts - if my dress shirts stain anywhere it's "ring around the collar". I just do what Vic does. Truth be told, my wife does, but I'm not looking the gift horse in the mouth.
JohnnyHector
2 words- Dry Cleaning. In my experience, dry cleaning dress shirts = ripped elbows. I launder and iron my shirts at home as well.

No dice still searching for aluminum free. The MLM companies like Melaleuca have them, but I don't think you could buy from them without being a member. Amway might have something like that too, if you don't know anybody, do a search online for reps in your area, and maybe they would sell you some. Regular Old Spice high endurance deodorant doesn't have aluminium. They have it in every drug store. If you're not a sweaty bastard you should be fine.
