With all the fines being handed out this year for things that guys have done on the field, Jets linebacker Bart Scott received a fine for something he didn’t do in Week Nine against the Lions.

Specifically, Scott didn’t buckle his chinstrap.

Manish Mehta of the New York Daily News reports that the league has fined Scott $10,000 for this uniform violation, which is more about safety than uniformity.

Safety my a$$-what about all those cheap shot artists diving at our offensive linemen's knees? What about Mark Sanchez' 'safety' when that idiot hit him late and then twisted his knee on the ground?
