sh4dy15
I don't have a link but did anyone see Braylon's post game interview on SNY? No trash talking, no bashing of anyone, no complaints, just focused on the team and genuinely happy just to get the win!

Pac
can't quite put my finger on it but I get doosh chills when hearing this guy talk. Sure he's starting to say the right things but it all feels a bit contrived to me. during yesterdays press conf for example he made a point of spending a couple minutes talking about his "philanthropic endeavors" (he actually referred to them as such). People who really care don't pat themselves on the back about the 10G donation to the boys club... especially when it's a tax write off.

I know this is wishful thinking for any athlete but maybe he'll love playing here and playing under Rex and with an up and coming QB and decide to stay. Image how amazing this team would be for years with the Braylon/Holmes/Keller combo. So Much potential there. I know I might be in the minority here especially after yesterdays game but as much as I love Holmes I would rather them keep Braylon over him if it came down to it. flgreen
I really hope they find a way to bring him back, he's been the most sure handed guy we have. Actually the Law might find a way to make him affordable for the Jets. He is on probation in Ohio over the midget punching contest. He could do up to 6 months for his probation violating DWI. Usually some jail time is enforced for a violation, probably 30-60 days. If he does any jail time his value will plummet. The difference between he and Holmes is that Holmes next pot screw up will be a year suspension. For Edwards it will 4 games. That’s significant Not only that, but Holmes didn’t even sound 1% repentant.

Its also very scary to have a guy you're gonna call your #1 WR 1 screw up away for a YEAR suspension. I think Tanny can pull it off to keep em both especially like you said, if team dont want to take a chance on Braylon, at least I hope so.

Yeah, they are both good receivers, and they are both risky players. But just the fact that Holmes is facing a year on his next Eff up, is enough for me. I have no doubts it is...the slant is still a pass he has trouble with if the first read is knocked out...The fade is a legit NFL QB type throw, and while I like Sanchez I have almost 0 faith he'd nail that. I thought they'd try it on that TD he ran in yesterday...Or at least one other time, but yeah I'm just not sure that's in the Sanchez playbook. The Sanchez playbook right now looks like a couple slant passes at well chosen times, a whole lot of deep balls, play action rollouts, short posts once in a while, and streaks up the seam to Keller/Braylon/Edwards. They're bringing him along much the same way Big Ben was brought along by the Steelers, Flacco was brought along by the Ravens, and Eli was by the Giants. I think it's closest to Big Ben nowadays...Roethlisberger was brought into a really talented offense with a great running game, and the Steelers basically had him bomb it out to Plaxico, Ward, and I think Randle El...It gave teams *something* to fear about the passing game, since asking him to do much more than that to win games was a highly risky proposition. Yeah, but I'm not so sure Edwards is not capable of the same thing. The fact that the punishment would be less for Braylon is a huge factor IMO. Hopefully he continues to progress with that type of pass because Braylon would be deadly with that. You can also see them mixing in screen pass attempts too, which is another tough play for the QB to make. If he gets those screens and fades down, this team becomes even more dangerous. I agree Both of those passes are touch passes. Sanchez seems to get nervous and ovethrows them. That’s something that will come with time. Sanchez seems to be a hard worker, and a pretty smart kid. Man...the amount of screen passes that Sanchez has gunned forward at 80 MPH for all of 8 feet is just a straight up mindf*ck. But yes, that could be anything from a young QB trying to overcome his overlords who refuse to put the screen pass in the playbook to nerves and inexperience. It's much less likely to be nerves and inexperience though, because he's special and I love him. I expect him to start nailing them by maybe late next season to early year 4. If he's good it'll be sooner...like the playoffs this year if the Jets make it.

It was short and Braylon almost made a rediculous play on it and got the PI call. That was the last fade we saw though I think and it was probably because it was short. I completely agree though he's a hard worker and has been improving every single game and put the team on his back yesterday for that win.

Most of these guys had 3, some four. Kid is still very green Seems like most people are aware of it to a point. A very quickly reached point. Everyone but Sanchez gets knocked for the offense's consistency, yet the #1 guaranteed way to have a consistently good offense is to have a QB who plays consistently well. There’s no question about that. Sanchez isn’t there yet. Still the kid has improved greatly over the year. I know I’ve seen all the stats, but the main judge of a QB is “can he win you a football game when the team needs it?” Sanchez has done that a couple of times this year. Last year he was losing games here and there. Think the kid has great upside. He’s just not there yet
NJ
I was dead set against Edwards coming here - thought he was a punk with bad hands. 180 degrees different in my thinking today - he's still got some immaturity lingering around but you can tell he's responding good to some life tips he's getting like STFU and do your job. Then after your jobs done well - STFU. Can't say enough good things about him on the field - leaves it all out there and delivers some major punishment blocking. Bout the only area I think he needs to immediately address is some over aggressive blocking that turns into holding penalties. Keep it up Braylon you d'man.
