Rex Ryan continued to rattle off names on the did not practice list, one after another.

It's not as bad as a team like Indianapolis, he admitted, but it still wasn't ideal.

As for the scope of the injuries, Lowery will be involved in absolutely no contact following the lights-out hit he took in Cleveland that brought on the concussion. Slauson's knee is better than it was this time last week.

Cotchery's remains unclear.

"I'm not saying he's not going to play," Ryan said. "I expect half of these guys to play, so we'll see. He truly is a let's wait and see what happens."

As for Mark Sanchez (calf), Ryan said he was limited.

"Not too limited," he said. "He looked good, he did almost everything."

LaDainian Tomlinson and Tony Richardson got the day off, but it was not injury related.

Ryan assured that he had a plan for Darrelle Revis on Andre Johnson.

"We know where he's gonna be guys," Ryan said. "If he's not on him he'll be on the same side."

If Cotchery cannot go, Ryan said he would consider bringing up Patrick Turner from the practice squad. Perhaps using some packages with Joe McKnight more involved as another alternative.

"That's certainly a possibility. We could bring up Patrick. There's different things we could do there."

Heading into the Jets' fifth home game of the season, Ryan made a plea to the fans. He wants them to get into the stadium earlier to help the team with their relatively slow starts.

"A lot's been made that we're 5-0 on the road and 2-2 at home," Ryan said. "We're going to make this a home field advantage.

"Last time we played against green bay, the tailgating i understand was exceptional. I'm asking our fans that we start our tailgating a little earlier and by the time introductions start we'll have a butt in every seat. I think it'll show the commitment we have to each other."

With two games in a short swing this week, the Jets went 40 walk through plays and 34 full speed plays in practice today.

"We need to make sure we're getting our guys at their best," Ryan said. "You have to have in the back of your mind, we're backing down with the weight lifting a little, to make sure we're at our best physically."
