Boozer76
Watched the game with my son yesterday, and for the most part it was uneventful. He knows when we put our jerseys on it's time for alot of J E T S chants and will do so with me throughout the game. I didn't lose my cool when the Jets started blowing it, and even when they seemingly lost the game because it's just not worth throwing the tantrum in front of a 2 and a half year old. But then when Edwards caught that perfect Sanchez pass I couldn't contain myself, there I was screaming at the top of my lungs yelling out "Come ONNNNN!!!". And there was my son laughing hysterically and screaming just like Daddy (he's in his parrot stage). Then when they scored I picked him up running circles around the house yelling woohooo and he starts just chanting out on his own over and over "J E T S Jets Jets Jets!!!!" It was just one of those perfect Father/Son moments I wont forget. Just awesome! Thank you Rex Ryan and the NY Jets!

whodeawhodat
my perfect moment was teh monday night comeback. Sitting in fish territory drinking beers with my lone jets fan buddy at a brand new sports bar. Have our Jets Jerseys on and took a verbal lashing for 3 full quarters. my response was usually "I am not going anywhere" or "I am still here" while steady drinking yards of beer. By the end of the game I had my shirt off waving it above my head(I did have an undershirt on) and chasing all of the dejected fish fans out of the bar asking why are they leaving, its a great party!!! Xtina
Then the old folks can say, you kids today don't know what it's like to be a real Jets fan. One time a phag fan came over and wanted to watch the game with me. I told him no way cause I knew he wasn't a fan he just wanted to break my balls. This was in the Marino era. Rather then getting in a fight, I shut the tv off and told him to get out. He says come on man, I said nope. Im not watching the game while you are here. 10 mins later he finally left and I watched the game..
pfilippone
A large group of Jets fans (100 or so) meet at a pub in Charlotte every week to watch the games together. We have our own large room with big screens to scream our heads off. With under a minute to go and looking quite bleak, we kept each other from sulking like the SOJ fans of the past. We kept clapping and screaming for the Jets to score and it worked!! Bedlam ensued. We must have scared the crap out of the other patrons. "Jet Fuel" shots all around! This is an awesome anecdote, and one that was well worth the read as every other thread is a calamity right now. Great example of good parenting too, never show the negative reaction or lose your cool in front of the kids. Always good to show them that you don't flip out in the face of adversity. Calm, cool and collected... not enough kids being raise that way anymore.
Larz
my son is 5, and all he knows is we do the happy dance when the jets score a big TD, and sometimes daddy uses bad words my 10 year old daughter usually wants to know the final score, and she knows who mark sanchez is I made my wife a raving lunatic fan, she yells at the defense all game

DireJet38
I'm fine with the positive yardage he gains every play running it. I'm still scarred by Lamont Jordan's eagerness to throw the ball against the Ravens.

slowmoe57
Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww My kid hates sports but my wife actually went with me to the sports bar to meet some Texan fan friends - Now there is a reason I usually don't take her. 1.She is not much of a fan 2. She gets scared whenever I cheer - and I am not very quiet when I do so. Don't get me wrong I never say anyting to the surrounding fans I just root loudly for my team. Santonio 1st TD she kept going "John sit down" or "shhhhhhhh". She kept thinking I was going to get attacked or worse. Nothing happened even when I was yelling Sanchez MVP. It was all in good fun But last night she asked if the Patriots had won and when we were playing them and then said oooh we need to go out for wings that night. Is this a good thing or bad?
