Playoff Invoices on the Way

Just got the playoff invoice. My seats are in Mezz A which is $120 per game. Divisional playoff is $160 and AFC Championship game is $175 each. They even added in $10 for "handling".

The funny part is that the payment for any unused tickets will be applied towards next years tickets unless you specifically ask for the money back. No seat, they can hold my money as long as they credit me the same rate of interest (6.75%) that they are charging for the PSL's, otherwise put my check in the mail asap. Of course, ideally there will be no unused tickets left by the time the playoffs are over.

Not too bad gouging.

Just wonder what the policy is if you are a PSL owner and dont buy playoff tix... is there any impact on your PSL?

You are not obligated to buy the playoff tix, only the regular season. If you don't buy them, they go up for sale. they are not too worried about being able to peddle playoff tix. I just wonder what the $700 seats are going for.

They only charge you if the game is played if you put a CC# into Ticketmaster, this seems like the best method.

Only pay if you go, and rack up some points when you do.

What exactly is the problem and how are they "holding" your money?

Even though I do, not everyone pays by CC. If you send in a check, they apply your unused funds to next years tickets unless you ask otherwise, it's in the e-mail. I have a big problem with that since they charge 6.75% interest on the "money" that the PSL owners owe them. Why give Woody an interest free loan?

The key word is "giving" him an interest free loan, it is by your choice to do so.

Also I am pretty sure a 3rd party financed the PSL's not Woody Johnson, which was a service/choice in itself.

Are you saying that if you use your credit card when aying, that they won't charge for the game until the game is played? Are you sure about that? That would be a good thing.

Didn't get the physical invoice, but I did look at my bill online. Sect 134 here, regular season is $125 per. I have 4 tickets, total invoice was $1480. I'm good with a $185 avg per ticket.

And payments for season tickets are due starting January,so applying it shouldn't really be an issue either.

All teams give you the otion of applying to following year if games not played. Not a big deal either.

Is this true? They were always due in April/May in the past. With PSL's, why do they need the money so early since you have a captive fan base that is committed to buying the tickets already?

My eyes shot wide open when I saw my amount... and I would be lying if I didn't wonder how much cheaper it would be if they sucked. lol

Plus the NY Times didn't call people out for leaving early when the team sucked.

I miss the good old days.
