Gotta think the Lions are just gonna pass pass pass all day to Megatron, Burleson and Pettigrew against the Pats secondary, it could happen

Yep

I like the Lions chances in this game. Yeah their dirty. They come to play, and their not really a bad team. As the Jets found out

:) Sure would be sweet

I'm nervous about this game. I sense a two game losing streak is coming for my team. Coming off two HUGE emotional wins over the Steelers and Colts and with the Jets on deck next week, this is a classic trap game. This challenge this week is the same one we faced a few weeks back in Cleveland... A road game against a highly motivated team that's far better than their record. And just like with the Browns, the Lions are also coached by a former Belichick disciple. We failed that test miserably and until I see otherwise, I think we'll fail it again.

Our veteran teams of years past always came through in these types of games but this is a young team still forging their identity. I love how they've responded in big spots. They've played extremely well in the four games one would expect them to be "up" for. The season opener, the two night games (at Mia, at Pit), and the Colts game. In those contests, the Patriots proved they can beat anybody when they bring their "A" game.

This game represents a different animal though. Shaun Hill isn't a household name but he is a guy who has experienced some modest success in this league. He's capable of playing some good football. I almost feel like I'm expecting to lose. Everybody is taking it for granted that the Jets and Pats will both be 9-2 when they square off on Dec. 6th. I think the Lions could screw that up.

A Lions win would create a potentially ironic scenario where the the Jets would play the Patriots coming off a loss. As we all know, Brady has won 25 regular season home games in a row and the Patriots "never" lose two in a row. However, Brady's last reg. season home loss was to the Jets in 2006. That was also the last time the Patriots lost two games in a row. I predict that we'll see history repeat itself over the next two weeks.

This means the Jets will be 10-2 with a commanding lead over the 8-4 Patriots (incl sweep). The AFC East title is yours. Congratulations in advance. Feel free to get cocky and start gloating. We'll meet again in January at the Meadowlands.

CORRECTION: The last time the Patriots lost two games in a row was last season against the Saints and Dolphins. However, the irony angle still applies. The date of that 2nd loss to Miami was 12/6. The same date the Jets and Pats play this year. Gotta love irony.

While your scenario is certainly possible I can't see the Pats losing 2 in a row. I would like to see both teams sitting at 9-2 next week with the division on the line. I have concerns for both games for the Jets but I see them winning both. I think the Pats find a way to win a tough game today and lose a very hard fought game against the Jets in 11 days.

Regardless of the outcome I really think we meet in the playoffs and it sure is hard to beat the same team 3 times in one season. I will gladly take my chances though...
